Dude, You keep complaining about this. Why don’t you just set your 2nd & 3rd basemen to “In” on all bunters and be done with it. That’s literally all you have to do.
-
I do not see why there is all the hate. I played a guy yesterday for both of our championship series game and he had only tried to bunt once all game (which went foul) and then in the bottom of the ninth inning with the game tied 2-2, bases loaded and one out, he bunted with his runners stealing to win the game. I am sorry but that is bs to me. We had a good game going all game and that is how he ended it? By letting the computer win the game for him? And before anyone says that bunting is part of baseball, yes it is but the difference is that in real life bunting actually takes talent where as in this game you just press a button and allow the game to do the work for you. Takes no skill at all.

In real life, pitching a baseball takes talent, where as in this game you just press a button and allow the game to do the work for you
I’m sorry, but bunting is part of the game. Most people who bunt in the show do it way too often, taking away the surprise element. Just adjust your defense, and a lot of the time, your opponent won’t know what to do as bunting is their only game plan.
However, it looks like your opponent in the game your referencing just surprised you with the squeeze. That’s how it’s supposed to work and takes the talent of strategy. I’m sorry he got one over on you, you just have to respect it, learn from it, and play the next game. I’m guessing you won’t let this happen to you again.

So instead if hitting into an ending inning double play; he was brave enough to try a suicide squeeze with the bases loaded.
Seems like good small ball.
Also, you start off the post with the words I do not see why all the hate then proceed to complain that he made a successful suicide squeeze.

You wanna defeat the hunters, manually adjust your defense. It kills them because they now have to readjust their game plan
This. A lot of serial bunters and base stealers use the tactic way too often and don’t know what to do once it’s figured out so they continue bunting and stealing, getting themselves into a lot of easy outs.
That being said, bunting and stealing can be a very effective tactic, but they both hinge on the element of surprise. Once the surprise is gone, they are just giving you outs.

Pitching and hitting in this game is not just pressing a button. With hitting you need to time up the pitch, get your pci to a spot and then hit a button. With pitching you have to choose what pitch you want and then have a good sequence and then if your using a meter or analog you have to time it up correctly. With bunting it is LITERALLY just pressing a button and letting the game do the work for you. When people bunt at the beginning of the game I immediately start bringing my second baseman and third baseman in for any fast batter so I already do this but like I stated in my original comment, he tried to bunt once ever the whole game in like the sixth inning. I played college baseball for four years and have laid down squeeze bunts myself to win and tie games but the difference is I actually had to get it down with skill and team strategy. In this game I do not consider it strategy, I just call it letting the game bail you out.

So you call pressing a button and letting the game do the work brave? Interesting. Yes it is great small ball in real life where it takes skill to lay down a squeeze bunt but not in this game. Lastly, I was saying I do not see the hate because I do not see why people would hate on someone talking about the people who bunt dance and do all of that [censored] but what I was complaining about was someone letting the game bail them out to win a game. You say made a successful suicide squeeze as if the player actually had to do anything to get that down beside press a button. No ego at all. I would have no problem losing the game if he did not let the game bail him out. Like I said before, it does take mental, strategic skill in REAL LIFE. In the game, he pressed the triangle button and let the game do the work. If that is what you call mental, strategic skill then so be it.

Pretty sure you still need to move the PCI to bunt.
However; I assume we're discussing the game vs AMBBBY.
If so; this is the Game Log for the bottom of the 9th:
He doubled to left field with Yelich and then he bunted Yelich over to 3rd with Mondesi. I would say that's smart.
Then you proceed to walk the bases loaded by walking Ruth and Tatis.
He then comes up to bat with Jimmie Foxx. Who bunted to third and it looks like Brett bobbled the ball (says it was an Error).
Was it cheap to bunt with Foxx? Maybe. But he took a chance and it paid off.
Now, you're a 100 Prestige level player and have over 500 RS games played; so you've 'been around'.
He bunted earlier in the inning. Did you put you shift into Bunt Defense when he came up with Foxx?
Because someone with your 'play Time' would think that a bunt would catch me off surprise here; so I better be prepared.
You weren't prepared. He took a gamble and it paid off.
I think I can safely say that ANY competitive player would agree with me that it wasnt the game out 'bailing him out'. It was just a situation where he knew your defense and took a shot.

My infield was not back. I had the third and first baseman in and the middle infield back in case of a grounder up the middle to turn a double play. Like I said he stole and bunted so therefore even though the bunt went right to the third baseman who was playing in there was no chance. I was just more mad because we had a great game going with no toxic bs and then to end it like that is [censored] in my opinion. It is not a move I would do but it is what it is. Have a good day.

Sorry but you're wrong again with two things. First off you literally don't need to use your pci to bunt. Just press triangle and the computer does the work for you. Second, he did bunt with Mondesi which I have no problem with because it was a sac bunt which is fine to me. Third, I had the third and first baseman playing in for Foxx with the second baseman and shortstop back in case he hits a grounder up the middle for a double play so my defense was exactly as it should have been. There was no error, it was a hard bunt right to Brett (who was playing in) and thee was no bobble. He stole and bunted so by the time Brett got the ball the runner on third was a few steps from home so there was no chance so don't assume I was not prepared when I literally was. Anyways I just don't believe in winning that way. That's not the way I would go about it just like I wouldn't ask for prestige stats in event games like a lot of these players but it is what it is. Have a good day.

He had Brock, Lofton and Trea Turner in the first 3 spots. I guess his gameplan was to cheese me as much as possible.
