Is There a Solution to the LS deGrom Problem?
-
For those aware of LS DeGrom's price (the same goes for similarly-priced LS players), is there a solution to the high price thing?
For a lot of players like myself who prefer not to buy stubs or play online, they're standing in the way of getting Mickey Mantle.
What needs to happen to make their prices drop?

Either a LS flash sale, or.. Yup, that's all I got!
There is always one card that is high, it just changed from Trout to deGrom. -
I don’t want to say this, but people that don’t play online/ don’t spend stubs/ don’t flip cards probably aren’t intended to get Mantle. Grind showdowns and TA if possible. A lot of stubs to be had there

I think the solution is the high diamond choice packs in the XP path. They give you a leg up there. Plus 250-300k isn’t particularly expensive for the gatekeeper to Sheffield and Mantle in the current in game economic climate.

This ain't nothing it's much cheaper to finish collections now than it was back then
-
pulled 2 deGrom's today on 30 total packs of the headliners bought (10 total bundles) by far having best luck with these

Not sure if you've ever gotten into flipping cards at all but it's not nearly as time consuming or as difficult as some may think. I was one of those who never did it a few years ago and I struggled to get the cards I wanted and make stubs without opening up the wallet which I hated doing. Obviously the more time you spend the more stubs you can make but even done casually you can make a decent amount. There are very low risk options out there which can slowly but steadily earn stubs and you would probably be a week or two away from Mickey, depending how far away you are obviously but it's very achievable. I pretty much only play RS and I could not even imagine coming close to getting Mickey or Trout without flipping cards.

I got Mays last year, so it is doable for offline players.

Different take for sure! But I have only flipped one card this year, have not spent any money on stubs, and only played about 150 online games. I have Trout and Mantle
EDIT. I also have Babe and prefer him over Trout and Mantle TBH and he was a program not a collection

Degrom price goes up because other players have completely lost value. 3 or 4 cards that were 140k 3 months ago are now 12k cards. Its still cheaper to finish all the collection now but thats why specific cards are shooting up in price. Its not a problem. Its the economics of the show.

The last 2 innings programs that were announced were accompanied by a flash sale. Make sure you are at your console on Friday night because if the sale happens, he will drop substantially.
Keep in mind, after this week, I think the price will climb higher because they’ll probably promote a low diamond to high diamond which will lower the odds of people pulling degrom.

Very true that theres a lot of stubs to be made right now even by just flipping, since the World Series program droped i've made over 600k (thats only 5 days) which was enough to finaly get Rivera and Ortiz so i could not be happier.
Prices may be high on certain cards but there are a ton of ways to make mass amounts of stubs right now.

As long as its Friday night and not Saturday night, lol. I'll be dishing out candy for the kiddos.
