Why do they have to be a 99? There were FOTF that weren't 99.

Because where the life cycle of the game is and making them worse cards then TA3 would make people livid.

I don't want finest. But I'm ready to pull the trigger on a few teams once it hits simply for a few I'll want. But I won't go all out on them.

The game itself makes people livid. Participation Finest cards for every team IMO was dumb last year. I would rather not have a repeat of the same program from last year.

I’m pretty sure TA4 is finest for that reason. They’ll give each team a super juiced card. In the context of the game, it will just be another made up card with fictional maxed out stats, much like the prospects, future stars, topps now, POTM and 2020 postseason cards we’ve seen.
It will probably be an anti climax to the season, as we’ve now got many versions of current day players who have received a card for a single game, series, or AB that apparently qualifies them for a better card than the best card of Ruth, Gehrig, Griffey and many other HoF calibre players. The Finest would have to literally have maxed out stats across the board to stand out, which is even more unrealistic in my view.

SDS could surprise all of us and give the Royals Bo Jackson, unlikely but just a thought. I fully expect stage4 of TA to be Finest.
