What a game

Thing is, if before the game you told the Dodgers they were gonna lose it wouldn't have been a big deal, they planned for it. But losing the way they did is a pretty big kick in the gut.

Respect? Dude made a HORRIBLE base running decision and was dead to rights. Dodgers just commited the biggest choke job in sports history. Rays were handed a game they didn’t earn. Oh well, At least it’s not a real World Series.
It was not a horrible base running decision.
Gotta force the defense to make a play there, the Rays bullpen really didn't have anyone to go for extra innings. They needed the win there
Besides, "DIDN'T EARN? even if the throw was made and Arozerana was out, that still means the other run scored, so it was earned. It certainly wasn't the Dodgers game.
Nope, Didn’t earn it. But who cares, It’s just the meaningless covid championship.
Dude, are you a Dodger fan? This sounds like some bitter Dodger fan banter right here. If you are i get it, I'd be mad also, but cmon man the Rays earned it. Like others mentioned even if the Dodgers didn't play kickball at the end its still tied.

Nope, I have no dog in this race. I just don’t like seeing teams not earn their wins.

I don't know man, with comments like that I still might have to question your Dodger fandom. If you want to say they didn't earn their win you have to at least admit they earned a tie, right? From there, who knows who ends up winning the game but you have to admit they at least earned a tie. Also, the Dodgers made plenty of mistakes on that last play. Taylor booting the ball, Muncys relay throw to Will Smith was way to Smith's right, forcing him to reach for the ball and swipe for the tag. Will Smith was way up the first base line to begin with to receive the ball and I don't know why he wasn't set up closer to the plate. Kenley wasn't backing up home plate like he should have been which could have helped also. If nothing else it would have helped him communicate to Smith that the runner fell down and perhaps making Smith not have to swipe for the tag as if the runner was right there. If the Dodgers can't execute a simple baseball play like that, I'll argue that they didn't deserve to win. They made some errors in the worst possible time, it's baseball, and the Rays were pushing it to cause those errors. I'd have to go back and look at the box score because I don't remember but did the Rays make any errors in that game? Either directly leading to a run or perhaps moving a runner up a bag that came into score on the next play? I know the Rays walked some batters, those are mistakes. A pitcher generally is not trying to walk a batter. Sometimes it can because of a good AB by the batter, which the Dodgers do extremely well I might add. But, certainly ball 4 is usually not something the pitcher is trying to throw. Did any of those runners come around to score that the Rays pitchers walked? I mean you can pick at mistakes all game long, the Dodgers looked like a little league team at the end with many mistakes on that one simple play. Like I said, if they can't execute that play they don't deserve it to begin with.

Like the post above said Kenley didn’t back up the plate. Shoot he wasn’t even in foul territory. On plays like that he should have been in between 3rd and home deciding where to go. When he saw the error in center he should have hustled home. He would have been there to flip the ball to smith for the out. I blame Kenley (the converted catcher). Catchers are supposed to know what everyone is doing. He just got lazy in a World Series game and cost his team another victory. The Rays earned a tie but the dodgers gave away the win. Respect to Phillips 12 days off one of the last guys on the bench and he comes up clutch.

Some argue that the Patriots weren’t the best football team when they won all their championships. But they had the best schemes and they did one thing extremely well. Exploit weakness. If the Dodgers keep this up Rays will win it all.

And one other thing the Patriots did/do well is, not shoot themselves in the foot like the Dodgers did in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs tonight.

Had the ump not called Muncy out after Adames gave him a belly to belly suplex to get him off the bag then the ending wouldn’t even matter.
So you ask if I’m a Dodger fan - I say no, That I have no love for either team & you counter saying I must be a Dodger fan simply because I wanted to see a team earn the dub...Alrighty then, Think we’re done here.

Lol, anyone thinking the Dodgers deserved the win after the mistakes they made either IS a Dodgers fan, or dislikes the Rays. You cannot make a case that the Dodgers deserved to win, they shot themselves in the foot.

The biggest choke job in sports history? Buddy the 2011 Rangers were 1 out from winning the World Series twice in game 6.

I’m a dodgers fan I feel like we lost pretty much fair and square.. buuuuuutttttt I can’t seem to keep going back to the 6th inning when muncy slid into 2nd and Adames CLEARLY hugged him off the bag... who knows though... haha

Def, I'm not saying if that play is called the other way, it doesn't change the game, but we don't know what would have happened, so saying the Dodgers still deserved the win like the other guy is saying because of that one play isn't a solid argument.

I wasn’t arguing it just can’t believe NO ONE is talking about that play.. like if we won I’d still be kinda frustrated at that.. but I tipped my cap to the rays that came they kept fighting!!
-
How is everyone talking about a horrible baserunning decision when all of that could’ve been prevented by extremely poor decision making and situational awareness by Taylor. That was outright brutal out there

They played a hell of a game to the end. No they didn't after that but don't be bitching around when your team chokes an nlds.

This has nothing to do with the Cardinals, the Dodgers and Cardinals didn't even play against each other in the PS. I live near Tampa and I am also a Rays fan, I can talk about them all I want to.
