Should we wait to do the missions?

Since it only goes to 50 would we be banking points for anything we go over? Also the 15 point collection won't trigger for me so not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Anyone else?

There’s only 36 available and you need 40. You can’t complete the collection until rest drops
