The game proves that betts....

His speed has ALWAYS been underrated in this game. He had 10 steals in however many games this year. Thats pretty good, way better than 62 speed
-
Mickey mantle only had 138 steals in his CAREER and he 92 speed! Betts has 136 allready!
-
Tatis Jr only had 11 steals this year and has 84 speed? Come on man

You fail to understand what he’s saying. Yes it might be more accurate if he had a small boost in speed but it doesn’t factor into if a guy steals a base or not. It’s about instinct and baseball IQ.
By your logic, Myles Straw should steal 60 bags a year since his in-game speed is 96.
-
Ok, so what is ur reasoning that Betts only has 62 speed then?
-
Mookie Betts is the 72nd fastest player in the MLB. His speed is equivalent to Raimel Tapia and Jean Segura.
-
Repeat after me. Steals do not = speed, steals do not = speed!
Steals are a personal stat, a person has to want to steal. Like my example, Tyler O'Neill is top 5 in sprint speed, but he doesn't steal, that doesn't mean he isn't fast.
Yadier Molina had 6 steals in 2019, does that mean he was the 2nd fastest catcher in all of baseball behind Realmuto? Of course not, he's slow as molasses.

Forgot the sauce.

Yes, I threw facts out also. Yes SPEED is equivalent to steals, how can it NOT??? So ur saying a guy with 20 speed can steal a base consistantly?

Yes, if he is motivated to and has a high baseball IQ
Like I said, Yadier Molina had the second most steals for catchers in 2019
-
Ok, what the heck did u guys just see then? In this game... dude stole 2 bases, AND made a helluva play on that ground ball score

And none of that has to do with 85+ speed, that's just a stud who understands baseball that has above average talent and decent speed, but not as much as your making it about to me.
Yadier Molina had the second most steals of catchers 2019, so he should be just below Realmuto in speed obviously.

Of course it factors in. Nobody said it didn’t. There’s a multitude of factors that goes into How good a guy is at swiping bags.
@Ikasnu just told you he is the 72nd fastest player in the MLB right now. I didn’t check but that should probably be on par with what his speed rating is in-game.
I understand you have a one track mind but you’re allowed to listen to the facts being shown to you. It’s not made up

87th percentile in sprint speed???
-
Hopefully he has good speed in his MLB the show 21 cover pre order card

And yet he's still 72nd overall in sprint speed, are you saying Whit Merrifield should have 90 speed then? That Cody Bellinger should have 94 speed? Tim Anderson should have 96 speed? Ohtani should have 96 speed?
All those players are listed as faster then Betts.

Good find, now you have my attention. If you scroll down even further, there’s sprint speed. This year he clocked in as the 60th fastest in the MLB which should garner consideration. I think maybe what hurts his rating was the previous 4 seasons, he ranked right around 160th on average and we know they take previous seasons into consideration when making attributes
