I have Mantle! At least, I have a buy order in for Justin Verlander, then I am done. I will be playing my first RS game in a LONG time. My SP: Orel, who I will be buying once I get Mantle done.

Or I might get 99 Scherzer. OR 99 Maddux. Thoughts?

Congrats!!! Just make sure you give Mantle time. I struggled big time with him for a while learning his swing/timing. I hit well with him now but it took a while. Kinda like learning to hit with Mays last year.

Yup. Is his swing the same as his 86 version? If so, I did good with that card. I have used the 99 in BR, and have 2 HR.

I would go Maddux or Madmax before Orel. Just not a huge fan. And i have Maddux era for online down to 2.25

I think it has more to do with pressing and wanting the card to do well. I hit well with the 86 card when the game started but when I got the 99 I couldn't hit my way out of a paper bag with him. Now he hits tanks. Just give him time and don't press.

I’m in the minority but I love Seaver and MadBum as well. If you use them correctly, Sig Series Lester and Vida are fun too! But without being smug, you actually have to know how to real life pitch to successfully use them because if you don’t sequence pitches well, they get hammered, even against the CPU

I have heard that Gibson gets SHELLED. I will be getting Lester at some point. -
Congrats, long time coming enjoy him (second best card in my opinion) I would get Maddux first, the new Vida Blue is also really fun and should be relatively cheep.
My rotation right now is
Maddux 99
Hershiser 98
Walter Johnson 99
Paxton - 99
Strasberg 99But i also like using Scherzer 99 Bumgarner 98 , Luzardo 98, Scott 99 and the new Bob Gibson 99 (i also liked him last year)

Bob Gibson is an animal when I use him offline. When I was at my brothers last weekend, and we played online with his account (my internet is awful at home) he hit and I pitched and I dominated with Gibson. Righty-righty changeup was devastating. Especially if you can tunnel it off his curveball. Hitters try to wait on it thinking the change is gonna drop like the curve and kept pounding it to third base

Locked them in! I am now entering a RS game with them. I am 10K from Maddux. I bought Robert to try out.
