Y'all can have Chipper
-
I’m actually relieved. I went to get in line with my 1 million, saw 300 people ahead of me and cringed...but then looked at his stats. Can absolutely live without him.
-
But assuming it’s the same swing as his 94 card it plays way above his stats.
He’s not “worth” a million. But at this point so many people have more stubs than they can spend
-
People do differently with players stances and swings. Many people like his stance, swing, and strike zone more than Ramirez.

You don’t understand how popularity works huh?
Oh i do. Just dont understand why people pay for a name rather than stats. Its a competitive video game after all. SDS feeds of those ppl so
This is not a competitive video game. It may attempt to present itself as such, but it falls short in many areas on many levels, to the point where it really cannot be regarded as such. A competitive game would usually see the outcome decided by the skills and input of the user.

This makes me feel better. Think they short changed chippers stats a bit but I may be wrong
I may not recall well but I thought chipper was a solid glove? Seems only silver

I mean there's a reason World series players get world series every season. Same with br. Is it perfect no. But 9/10 times the better player wins

Not everything is about just attributes though. Chipper has one of the best (the very best in my opinion, but that's subjective) swings in the game. He is also not 5'9 like JRam which to me is a big deal. And last but not least, JRam is a lefty killing switch hitter but there aren't all that many dominant lefty SP in the game. Chipper is the traditional stronger hitter from the left side who will take his at bats from the right side if he has to and therefore he's more valuable in my opinion as well, because he will face more righties than lefties.
I have JRam, and he's not even on my bench while I just put in a 1M order for Chipper and I'll play BR in the meantime to get him myself before the order goes through.

Thank you for your opinion. I see where your coming from. I used Chipper and couldnt stand him so the whole swing thing doesnt really hold water for me. JRAM is my new starting 3b and has 6 homers in 10 games. Everyone was bashing the cost to unlock him but are happy to throw a mil at a similar card if not slightly worse
-
Definitely seems like there’s a lot of emotion based buying for chipper. A lot of people love him and I won’t fault that. But he’s just not worth the price to me. But with that said I’d gladly let SDS name their price for a 99 Griffey without ever seeing the stats so I’m not one to judge.

A good case could be made for 80 fielding. A better case could be made for 85 arm.

Yes, but the real problem is, they can't even spend those stubs in a timely manner because of the caps.

I agree that this card isn’t worth a million. I would be happy using someone else. There are plenty of options.
But at this point I, and many others, have so many stubs it doesn’t matter. So why not?
-
Is the card worth a million stubs? No. Would I happily pay a million stubs to use my favorite player's best available card? Absolutely.
But I literally can't. Which is I think the big glitch with the decision to make him Flawless.
But at least they did provide the Boss version that can hit Prestige. It makes the sting a little less but it still sucks when Chipper's final card was one of the few things I was looking forward to this late in the year.

9/10 times? What a completely arbitrary number you pulled out of your... hat.
This is simply false. Fight me.

I'm not saying Chipper because he's a br reward, but with all the cards left, maybe they could just put some of them on the market for sale. Not a player program, not an inning reward, not ws or an event, but just put it up on the market. Say Griffey for a mil, Beltran for 1.5, and for the icing on the cake, Niekro for 2 mil. It would definitely remove some stubs from the game.

Fielding - 84/74
Reaction - 87/74
Arm strength - 80/74

JRAM is the first set of number and Chipper the second set. With that said I do not understand the urgency and all the hate for what JRAM costYou can technically increase JRams by 3 as well as you can prestige the card.
I like his swing better than Chipper anyhow, but if I were a Braves fan, I’d be upset.

Of course it falls short but competing against someone for a reward is called being competitive. My reflexes suck so bad any fastball 97 or over im whiffing on so guys whos reflexes/stick skills are better will beat me every time except the occasional help from SDS RNG lol
