Do you have to do the collection to get 99 Ramirez?

Not sure how this works...When I add up all moments & missions it doesn’t equal 100.

Between the cards and the Topps Now packs you get in the program, you end up with more than enough cards for the collection if you completed the moments each week and kept the cards from those packs.

Yes you need to do the collection. I believe there are enough points (104 if I remember correctly... I added it up last night) that you can skip 1 of the moments or missions (I'd recommend skipping 3 xbh with Jose Ramirez personally) but the collection is 15 points and you must complete it in order to earn Ramirez.
That being said, you earn a bunch of packs and the lower monthly awards players for free through completing the program. Shouldn't be too difficult or expensive.

I skipped the two Stolen base missions myself
I was going to do that but I would need one more topps now instead of doing those. To get Mondesi you have to either do the collection or every mission but his first and he is the last one I need for the collection. I don’t necessarily need the stubs but 20k is 20k

Yes, but I don’t know if it is worth all the time and stubs. I don’t have any need for him.
