For those who aren't in the loop, there are no sell orders for Rockies RP AJ Ramos. For those of us trying to complete the Live Series collection, this is a major issue. There are other players like Ramos who have no sell orders, either, so help us all out and sell those too.
Basically the three players you should sell are:
- AJ Ramos (Rockies)
- Eliot Soto (Angels)
- Paolo Espino (Nationals)
Please do not exchange or quick sell your spare AJ Ramos, Soto, or Espino. Sell him to us for 1000 stubs on the market! We greatly appreciate it!
To be fair these cards just came out a few days ago so even though their commons, they are still rare-ish for now. Also people who have pulled them and don’t have collections done won’t sell them, meaning there is less on the market. I pulled both espino and Soto the other day and sold them both. I will gladly sell a common for a G! People who are exchanging a common card that’s going for 1k should really look into getting a financial advisor, makes me concerned for them haha
Most people who are exchanging commons don’t even pay attention to the market value of the card. So that statement is rather moot as you don’t assume a common will ever go for much higher than quick sell price which I believe is 5 stubs. And why would you pay attention, those 3 cards are outliers in the common tier. You would be wasting your time checking the market on every single card you exchanged regardless of what tier they are.
You don't have to check the market for every single card you have. All you have to do is go to the market, filter it for live 74 and below, and observe the listings. You see if anything is sky high, and check to see if you own it.
You are also able to see the “quicksell for 1000” option if you pull these cards or obtain them from a postgame reward. Only time you cannot see this option is if you get it from a daily login reward. That’s really the only excuse for people to have the card sitting around in their collection if they got it out of a daily login.
-
What? Why? He's going diamond, buy them up.
-
They could make BR free again and have common packs.

Just sold a Ramos and Espino. Now there's only 1100 and 426 buy orders respectively.
Yes it’s stupid for you but it’s a brilliant move by SDS. They have figured out a way to manipulate the market to keep the collection bosses (Mantle, Sheff, Biggio) from watering down the game. So next year be cognizant of this and knock out the collections early before all the rosters turnover as the season progresses. And don’t be so quick to exchange your free agents as they might find homes like AJ Ramos did this year.
Yeah, I don’t know about this. What does SDS have to gain by intentionally making 3 random common cards extremely hard to buy off the market? Why would they intentionally block people from completing the collections for Mantle, Sheffield, and Biggio? Don’t you think the sheer amount of stubs spent on all the LS diamonds is enough of a wall? It’s not a tactic by SDS, but more so the fact that these 3 are new cards from the roster update and are relatively low in supply while being extremely high in demand.
It’s got nothing to do with the randomness of 2 or 3 cards it’s the fact that those cards were free agent cards or not available cards at the beginning of the season. When the rosters began turning over players you had locked in might be sent down, released, dfa’d. Or any other kind of roster move that removes them from a teams original 40 man roster. Meaning new cards have to be locked in to meet the collection total. If you accomplish these early on you don’t have to worry about what is going on now. It also could be pandemic related to where the rosters were set for so long that you didn’t have to worry about the roster moves that happen in the course of a normal season.

We may be misunderstanding each other here. I’m not disputing the fact that completing collections earlier helps you avoid this situation. What I am disputing is that SDS is intentionally doing this to block people from getting Mantle, Sheffield, and Biggio. You alluded to this in your first post when you claimed this was a “brilliant move by SDS to manipulate the market and keep the collection bosses from watering down the game.” My point is, I don’t think SDS would really gain anything from blocking players from completing collections by intentionally making these 3 cards hard to obtain off the market. It’s just simple supply and demand, not an intentional ploy.

Oh you might be 100% correct in that assessment. My point is intentional or not what they’ve stumbled onto could be a great way to sort of limit availability of the so called end game collection boss cards by using roster turn over to manipulate the market and thus manipulate the collection which will seriously limit the availability of those cards especially the later the season progresses in future iterations of this game. I’m thinking about the future not the present in terms of this tactic. And if this was intentional than it’s a brilliant strategy going forward.

Ah, I gotcha. I agree, this could be a way to limit the availability of the collection guys in the future. I feel like if it was an intentional ploy they would never come public with it, as it would be sure to frustrate many players attempting to complete the collections later in the year, and I can’t say I’d blame em. Pretty much have to rely on pack luck to avoid waiting an unknown amount of time for a simple common card.

Imagine all of the copies of these 3 cards that have been used in exchanges or quicksold. Meanwhile, hundreds of people begging for them.
Truly a first world problem.

Yes you are correct not to check the market and just exchange it, but my answer to this is you get the cards through opening packs or end game rewards. Meaning you see what the card is going for off the rip. Do you not take 2 seconds after opening a pack to flash through them and see if their is an outlier that’s going for way above market value? When I see a common card going for a 3-4 digit number that immediately catches my eye. If your not I suggest you start doing that. I’ve easily made over 100k selling right off the rip this year on common/bronze/silvers that go way beyond market value.

Checked a few days ago and had none of those MIA guys. This post prompted me to check again and I'm actually sitting on two Ramos cards which I will gladly sell for 1K each to help someone out.
This guy talking about Mantle, Biggio and Sheffield "Watering down the game" is just a curmudgeon and a bitter individual. Seriously... Everyone and their mother who's played this game even for a few months has Mantle by now. 9 out of every 10 opponents have him... I'm sure if he didn't have him, he would want someone to help.

I own all of those guys and next time you want to call someone a name maybe read the full thread instead of picking and choosing what you want and then making a comment out of context to what the conversation was actually all about. I’m not a bitter person I was simply saying that their strategy was a brilliant one if it was intended and could be used in future iterations to literally control the amount of those cards by simply manipulating the market value of other card tiers to create an artificial demand for certain cards especially later in the year. But way to go on your assumption of what my intentions were with regard to this forum. Next time do a little research before making idiotic comments.

The thing is that it usually doesn't matter. Like I've locked in 39 of a teams cards before getting the 40th. Then new cards will be added to the making it say I've only got 37 of 40. But when I get that 40th and go to collect, it automatically goes to 40 of 40. For some reason the Rockies gave me an issue.

Good PSA I didn’t realize the issue. I was sitting on a Ramos and a Soto. Only one of each but sold them off rather than exchange.

I'm so glade I did the Mantle collection early in May. Can't imagine trying to do it now with all the cards they added especially the rare commons.
