Why doesn't anyone ever mention 99 Nolan Ryan when it comes to SP
-
Is 99 Nolan Ryan so bad that nobody uses him?
-
He is basically Walter Johnson with worse control and a release point that is easier to read. Johnson already has mixed reviews and Ryan is just worse
-
He is solid for me he is in my 7 man rotation lol so many good to choose from he is 31 and 9 in ranked Era of 2.45 close to the Big Train
-
Ryan is only good against those players that absolutely can’t touch the outlier fastball. And even for those players, I’d rather use Pearson or Wood. While Wood doesn’t have outlier, his fastball seems to hit 100-101 consistently. Pearson has better control and secondary pitches and Wood has the greater pitch mix and differential overall.
-
Ryan only have vertical movement with an easy to read release point which makes him batting practice vs a good player. Not to mention his control is boooooooooty
-
Because Nolan Ryan is useless. He either walks someone or throws it down the middle. Only guys who can't hit fastballs struggle against him, which aren't a lot of people in the upper tiers.
