I raged quit

Mantle lined out and deflected off Sheffield for a single. (I expect Sheffield to do this so I’m fine with it)
Tatis grounded to center for a Single, Mantle to 2nd (Good AB)
**** Kimbrel comes in*****
Hornsby strikes out chasing (Story of the game) this person chased pitcher pitches all game long for weak contact or strikeouts)
Right here is when things started to go south
**Yelich popped to the pitcher for a single (Very late, very weak contact that landed in between Sheffield, Kimbrel and Yadi)... Bases loaded
Ruth hit to the pitcher for a single (Again: Very late, very weak contact that landed in between Sheffield/Kimbrel and Yadi) < —— I was angry and I knew a HR was coming and I was going to lose.***
Biggio doubled to right to tie the game
Edmonds flies out to Mantle (2 outs) men on 2nd and 3rd
*** Voit subs in for the pitcher and crushes a ball that I believe is still in the air
I know it’s baseball and anything can happen... but WTF, two weak popups that nobody was gonna get to on two bad swings on pitches that were dots in the inside part of the plate.
Bear with me, this inning was infuriating.

We’ve all had games like that. I’m not the best player by any means, but the best way I’ve been able to handle bad plays or bad luck is just don’t worry about your record and play for fun. It’s only a game and in March when the new show comes out your 2020 record won’t mean a thing. I’ve actually been less stressed playing ranked since I’ve used this approach

I honestly just don’t care about my record. I was so frustrated about it

The good thing is that your opponent probably got a good shot of dopamine and confidence. Which in turn makes him believe he can compete or not to quit because anything can happen.
Which causes him to spend money and invest which makes the Show better for all of us. With that extra money they can make The Show '21 The best show since 17 & 18.
When things like this happen I look at it like a membership fee to keep players engaged and entertained.
Think about it...that player could have been horrible and on his last straw with the game. Now he might say hey..I could get use to this sense of accomplishment ....now hes grinding for Mantle....your not going anywhere...your going to keep playing...this was a win win for Sds and the community!!

I have to use that approach often.

If I cared about my record, I would be depressed. lol

dude i have litterally gotten to where if i get in a mlb stadium i rage quit after one pitch by the opposing guy if he doesn't accept my friendly so my record is shyte for the last two seasons. I usually stay around 850 to 950. Games like yours happen every 3 games for me it seems. I really don't know how people have consistency in this years game.

I see nothing out of the ordinary with this. Looks like a regular Ranked Seasons inning to me. Most regulars playing this game can predict the outcome of the [censored] that is about to unfold.

All of those bad luck things affect pitcher confidence which in turn causes things like that to happen. Mound visit strategically placed in the middle there might have stopped the momentum the other team was building and thus restoring your pitchers confidence. Just a thought for next time when this happens to you again.

I am sub .500, I must’ve quit over a hundred games.

Thats what I do. When I see the shenanigans start I either mound visit or change pitchers completely

That is the dumbest [censored] and a horrible excuse for bs that should be fixed as to be far more rare getting garbage hits at such a high rate. All your post does is give sds an all cause to get away with bad programming decisions

Uuuuuh yeah the show 18 = absolute dumpster fire. Nerfed pitch speeds in online play. Nah you can have that [censored].
-
When i start rage building in my head when these things happen to me i say (Out Loud) to myself its just a Video game. It always calms me down...
-
The worst thing is that all those things happened top of the 9th... I lost all faith. At least I didn’t dashboarded and let him/her have his/her HR. I believe Tatis was still on base and that run was accounted towards prestige program stats

Sorry dude I thought the fact that I mentioned 17 and 18 as being the great yeard you would realize that this whole statement of sarcasm showing the jig that Sds runs...sorry man..I like to use a different approach to wake people up to what's going on besides outright saying the game is rigged. Then words like bigfoot..flat..moon...tin..and Basement make their way in the discussion
