What’s the best lineup possible?
-
Just curious at this point in the game what would be the best possible lineup. This is who I run currently. Please let me know your thoughts, and who you think is better and who you would replace.
Babe 1b
Hornsby 2b
Tatis ss
Foxx 3b
Cap catcher
Trout lf
Mantle cf
Walker rfBench
Yelich
Cobb
Frank
Winkler
CastellanosPitching
Mize
Kluber
Prestige Paxton
Prestige wood
PearsonBullpen
Chapman
Goose
Mariano
Wagner
Crochet
Davis
Dibble -
I would (and do) use Gehrig at 1B and Cobb in the outfield over Walker. I have both Babe and Walker on the bench.
As for your starting pitching, I would definitely boot Paxton, Wood and Pearson.
-
Get rid of them all
-
Looks good, but I would def realign your OF. Trout LF, Mantle CF, Walker RF.
-
Who would be your starting 5 then?
-
Wood is nasty tho. On hof and legend he’s kind of a cheat code lol

My starting 5 are Kershaw, Kluber, Sale, Hershiser and the #5 spot is a wildcard who I'm now using the new Vida to see if he's good. If he's not great I'll go back to Tom Seaver probably.

I disagree. He's too wild, patient hitters with a good eye and quick bat with have a field day against Wood.

I do like that Whitley a lot as well. Orel just doesn’t do it for me for some reason. He doesn’t throw quite hard enough. But that’s just me.

Orel is a guy you need to know how to pitch with. His pitch mix is one of the best in the game.

Woods fb and slurve both have great control and I use his change as well. I have no issues with him. If it comes to pitch mix burnes Whitley Kluber mize I would all put ahead of Orel.

Alright, well if it works for you then there's no reason to change it up. I always advise people to stick with what works for them.

I hear you. I was just looking to see what others would run if they had every card.

Absolute Best? It does depend on how well you hit and you're priorities I guess, personally I want as good defense as I can get while having the best contact numbers with power being 2nd, and speed is important to me.
C- Prestige Posey or Pudge
1B- Gehrig or Pujols
2B- Kind of open, depends on what you need. Hornsby for offense, Turner, Prestige Biggio, Jackie, even Tatis if you want to use J-roll at short.
SS- Tatis, J-Roll or Wagner
3B- Schmidt (defensively), Tatis, Wagner
LF- Cobb, Mantle
CF- Mantle, Trout
RF- Mantle, WalkerPitchers:
Mize
Feller
Orel
Wood
Whitley, Maddux, Kluber -
No sense making this list until they release 99 Chipper and Griffey...LETS GO SDS!!!!!

What I'm working with:
C Foxx
1B Ruth
2B Wagner
SS Tatis Jr
3B Hornsby
RF Mantle
CF Trout
LF CobbBN - Thames, Yelich, Thomas, Sheffield, Henderson (Pinch Runner)
SP
Hershiser
Kluber
Kershaw
Seaver
SaleBULLPEN
Chapman
Crochet
Davis
Gossage
Jansen
RiveraThe only guys that I'd like to substitute, if/when I have the stubs, would be Wagner for Crochet and Mize for Sale. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with my team.
