Lol I just said I hope he doesn’t need Tommy John literally 2 days ago. Hope I didn’t jinx him
If he does end up needing Tommy John, we will definitely blame you.

Another RBI basehit for Luis Robert in the meantime.
Boo.
This postseason thing has been killing me over the last several years...
No denying his talent, though; I just want my A's to get past the first round

Just smoked one to Jupiter from Oakland, CA. Rookie of the year. And oh yeah, Garrett Crochet is dealing.
Crochet is a stud. And Robert isn’t winning ROY. SDS will probably give him a 99 postseason card though.

Oakland is making a bit of a push here, this is now a very good game.

White Sox survived a total collapse there lol

Yes that could have been a lot worse, however the White Sox have now used 6 pitchers through 4 innings. Whats the plan here? Are they going to use all of their bullpen arms?

I like it. All or nothing baseball, win or go home. Just hope they don't run out of arms before the end of the game.

The A's have now loaded the bases 3 times in 5 innings, White Sox are playing with fire here.

Shame this game is taking so long, it's almost midnight here and I have responsibilities in the morning.

Sheesh... made that one interesting. Those Sox will be back in it next year, and likely for a while after that. For now, though...
Lets-go-Oak-land!

So Oakland Vs Houston? Go A's

Based on that homer I suspect we see his card go straight to diamond. At the very least he'll get a special 99 free diamond for hitting a long bomb. #2020Robert4presidente

Ha. I said earlier I expect the three 9th inning bosses to be retro future star John Smoltz, 99 postseason Luis Robert, and some Padre.

I mean to be fair about all this Luis Robert hype compared to Kyle Lewis, it's not only an SDS thing, it's basically the entire baseball world besides Mariners fans and people who actually look deep into stats.

Ha. Luckily you can probably put sports writers in there as well. I’ve seen 7 or 8 postseason awards prediction lists the last few days and every one of them had Lewis winning ROY.
-
The guy who thinks Kyle Lewis is going to win AL Rookie of the Year is funny.
Luckily for the rest of us, the people that determine the award don't just box-score scout and actually watch the games. Luis Robert will win because he was also an elite fielder, something Kyle Lewis was not.

And yet, even with the admittingly just below average defense, Kyle Lewis had a higher WAR because his offense was that much better.

Now THAT was funny.... I needed that laugh.

I'm assuming you're using Fangraphs. But according to BaseballReference, Luis Robert still edges Lewis out by 0.3 wins above replacement.
And I'm not trying to sound smug or act like a "know it all," but there's a lot more that goes into these awards than just a black and white, paint by the numbers approach. They're going to consider context; as in Luis Robert was left in no man's land in the 7th spot in the lineup with no protection so he didn't see any "good" pitches, the fact that he was playing on a team in contention for a division and league pennant, and I don't think anyone could argue against the fact that the AL West was light in terms of playing competitive teams in the AL and NL West in comparison to the AL Central playing their own division and the NL Central.
But, I guess we will see. Crazier things have happened.

Almost everyone uses Fangraphs over Bref WAR, it is by far the more accepted of the two.
And no, voters aren't going to consider the freaking batting order, and be like "Oh he hit 7th, lets give him the award." and the whole team success thing is a relic of the past, it doesn't matter that Seattle wasn't going to make the playoffs.
I don't mean to sound snippy or rude, but you are reaching pretty hard here, let's not overthink it, the voters sure don't.
