after doing conquest a few times this weekend im up to about 600k stubs. My starting 5 currently is Prestige Paxton, Orel, Wood, Maddux, Hal. With seaver and a few others ill rotate in and out in place of wood and orel.
I was in the same boat. My rotation was Prestige Paxton, Kershaw, Seaver, Mad Max, Hal, Kluber, Maddux. I had the stubs so I bought Sale at 277k. I got lit up his first outing and second outing was better but not 300k better. I’m going to give him more time but the fact he’s up to 400k makes me want to sell ASAP. Try Kershaw he’s solid and he’ll of a lot cheaper
-
Hmm, that was just my experience. He may be money for you. If u have the stubs give em a go
-
I’m prioritizing most of my stubs for pitching since I can’t hit worth of [censored]

He's good on legend, useable on HoF, batting practice on allstar unless your opponent struggles with his release point.
-
Sale is great if you play on HOF and Legend
Like any other pitcher on All Star, he can be very hittable but that’s just due to the difficulty level
His advantage is his delivery and arm slot. His slider has tons of break and is at a slower speed which is great to keep opponents off balance.
you can easily become predictable with him If you use only the 4 seam and slider. But he’s been great for me, highly recommend

He is very good got him for260 but he will hit maybe 500k soon becuase you can’t get him as WS in few hours
-
Just grabbed him today for $390K since as the post above me says he goes away from WS reward. Typically, cards only move in one direction after that but has been a card I've been wanting to try out and with 3M stubs (and a long line for Wagner) figured might as well. Crushed the CPU in Conquest
-
I paid 460K for him in the first week or so that he released and he hasn't left my rotation since. In fact, I feel more confident with him on the mound than pretty much anyone else.
For whatever it's worth, this is my rotation:
SP1: Tom Seaver (99)
SP2: Chris Sale (99)
SP3: Greg Maddux (99)
SP4: Clayton Kershaw (99)
SP5: Corey Kluber (99), Max Scherzer (99), Orel Hershiser (98), or Brendan McKay (98) -
I didn’t win one. Not one start with him in the 700s.
Sold at 340 and never looked back.
I can’t hit him though and I think it’s his release.
-
I like him a lot. There’s plenty of bias there on my behalf, as he is my favourite current day pitcher, but as a result I pitch a lot of games with his LS and 99 every year.
I can tell you now, nobody likes facing Chris Sale. Sure, some people might not hate facing him and a small minority hit him pretty well. You should know if your opponent hits him well fairly early in a game, at which point take him out ASAP. The rest of the time, if you use him effectively, he’s going to have your opponent off balance and can make good hitters look stupid at times. He’s an absolute strikeout machine, sporting a 11.993 K/9 for me so far with 191 punch outs through 143 1/3 IP. I say worth the stubs.
-
Only made 1 start with him, but I dominated. Struck out 8 of the first 9.
-
He’s been my best pitcher by far, sun 2 era which is insane this year and multiple 15+ k games, a couple 20+ and a no hitter. Some people just can’t touch him. Most these games are on hof / all-star. 600-900
-
I think he's excellent.
-
[censored] he’s still a WS reward. His price actually dropped. [censored] I’m pissed I didn’t sell earlier
