I currently use pulse and have had a lot of success with it, but the awful pitching mechanics this have me debating a switch. For those who use analog, how long did it take you to master? Is it noticeably better than pulse?

Analog is the best pitching aspect in the game. It’s not hard to get used to it. But you will miss spots on good release , it’s just the nature of the game

I've never used pulse, but I was a meter guy for a long time. I switched to analog 2 years ago and I'll never use anything other than analog again.
To me it's very easy to use, but the best way to use it is by getting a camera setting that works best for you. I use the broadcast camera, I hope Im right on that, because that gives me the angle on how I watch live baseball and allows me to get the placement of the pitch, break, etc. the way I see it in real life.
    That's my take anyway.

Better than pulse? Depends... If you play on lower levels you can get away with pulse more often than not. HoF and Legends have many good players and Analog may be your best option. Not saying pulse is unusable on HoF or Legend but when you need to dot those corners, analog is the way to go.

I use analog as well. Use whatever you feel comfortable with the most, but really, pitch accuracy was horrendous last year and it rolled over to being a disaster this year as well.

Try aiming for a corner strike, any corner with any pitch using any pitcher and watch how often you will either pitch a ball or worse, pitch it right over the middle of the plate despite having good or perfect user input.

I can tell you that nobody purposely aims to pitch it directly over the middle of the plate (except for obvious situations), and yet, I find it amazing how much of an expert this game will make you at pitching bullseyes.

I've always been a meter guy, and I've had pretty decent success with it. Every time I try analog I get blown up and swear I'm not trying it again. I should probably just use this awful event to practice it until I've got it down.

That's 100% me too. Good idea on the event - I'm trying to eat up innings for Prestige, so maybe I'll do that.
