I was in my franchise and scouted a 18 yr old 3rd baseman, Archie Andrews, and he was a 65 ov potential and after scouting he was upgraded to an 80. I was targeting him in the draft not as my 1st pick but as a pick in the compensatory stage after round 1. I got to my pick and he was gone, so I assumed I missed him and someone else grabbed him. No big deal, it happens. However, I reviewed the draft and he was completely missing from all the teams draft list.

So my question is, is this a glitch or in SDS infinite wisdom did they make it where an 18 yr old can go to college and remove themselves from the draft and possibly show up in 3 years a 21 year old?

This has happened to me before. I think it’s a glitch?

This has been an issue for years in Franchise Mode. The players who go missing will eventually show up in the following years draft with the same amount of scouting you originally completed. Nobody seems to know why this happens and it can be very frustrating when you think you have locked in on your first round pick and he is not there. I have also noticed that blue chip prospects only seem to be there in the first year of your franchise. As I progressed to year 2 and year 3 drafts there were no longer blue chip prospects.

How do you even scout properly? I usually just let the computer do it for me. I’ve tried myself and it’s cumbersome and I never find any diamond in the rough.
