Race to 300 Program Stars Question

Also, you should at least try the showdown- even if you don't beat the final guy, you should gain some xp and get some random rewards. And if you do beat it, you've completed nearly a 3rd of the program stars!
I might try it. The complaints I've heard about it make it sound daunting. Is there a certain key to succeeding in it?

I also saw where a dude was playing RTTS games with sliders up, and the games would only be a minute or so long, and he'd get 500 xp per game. Could give that a go, too.

load up on lefty mashers and be patient. Get perks that are active the most like contact boost when trailing or runners in scoring position.

This is comforting news. Labor Day weekend couldn't have been timed any better. I'll see if I can get some major grinding done over the next few days.

What works for me is to go into it in a calm state of mind. Start your pci where you like to hit and just wait for pitches in your zone. Don't get too hyped up or mad when you are struggling. Also don't worry about base running. Never try to take an extra base (stealing, tagging up, etc.) You know you are going to hit some home runs, so anyone you get on 2and or 3rd is basically a run in the bag.

Conquest is 30. They've also pretty steadily released a second player program (20 stars) and a second conquest map (15 stars) each inning.

So I am going to grind to get 300 stars for the bosses. But I want to do so OFFline, no showdowns.
There are the little missions each day, exchanging shortstops (for example) or getting innings with Reds pitchers. Those offer 5 or 6 program stars a day. If I do the Torrii Hunter program, I get 20 extra.
I doubt I'll be able to complete the Player Awards collection.
I have 28 days before the program ends. Doing this the way I intend, will I make it to 300 program stars?
It will be tough to do without out any online play. But it is doable. There are several ways people have found out how to get it done quickly by using different modes. Those 20 points for the player program stats are online only. Wish they would change that cause unless it is a event game I dont really have the time to get a full RS game in in the morning. It is about every 2k in xp of game play that you get a program star so start grinding that.
Really? You can grind xp for program stars offline? In conquest, vs cpu and such? Sweet! I'd better start swinging for the fences.
You will need online stats with the player program guy and 10 event/br/rs wins
No you don't. I don't play online, and I always get to 400. If it weren't for working the market, I'd probably get in some on-line, but it is what it is.

If you mean the Torii Hunter player program 20 points, that can be done entirely offline.
There is usually a second player program in the inning, too. That'll be another 20.

I have already completed the conquest challenge.

I only play offline. This was my first month not working full time for shutdown. Last month I got 300 with 2 days to spare. The Babe moments helped a lot playing games got more xp and stars. This month will be tight but 28 days is doable.

Thanks. I usually start my PCI in the top left corner of the zone regardless of who's pitching, and then follow the ball down as it approaches. Starting high keeps me from being beat by high fastballs, though occasionally I'll screw up, either by going too far down and getting under the ball or getting stuck up in the zone and missing the ball completely.

This is bad advice. Kershaw is final boss. You need righty hitters to win this one...

The 8th inning showdown has been the easiest one so far...took me like 30-45 minutes to complete without much effort...
-
Always get to 300 offline. Took a one week road trip in July, still made 300 stars. This Showdown was easy. Already at 140 and havent done Hunter yet.
-
Easily. I am an offline player and I get to 370-420 each inning pretty easy.

Wow. I must be overthinking it too much, haha. One of my worst habits. I just gotta get Cobb

Apologies. I meant batters that mash left handed hitting. A left handed batter that also hits left handed pitchers well will also work

Same. I just completed the showdown, and I'm now at 142 without Hunter or the 7th inning collection.

I always make 300 offline, no showdowns, and usually without the player programs, but I always get the voucher though. You will want to play 2-3 games (vs cpu) each day, but without the voucher will probably be 3-4 games each day. A month of RTTS (say batting only) will get about the same as 2 vs cpu games. Each vs cpu game, I usually get 3 stars, but sometimes get 2 an once I've gotten 4.
