Would like to see fielding given a whole do over. Especially in the outfield. Some of the animations out there look so un-natural.

Easy one: give us a DH in ranked seasons (and all modes for that matter). Nothing dumber than having all these great, fun cards and only letting us use eight of them. I guarantee people would rather play with some of the most fun, most beloved players in history (Ortiz, Frank, etc.) than sacrifice bunt.

A hitting engine that is consistent and understandable. Also, fix the [censored] pitching and fielding. I'm sick of having diamond players simply look at a ball as rolls past them a foot away.

Baserunning only one not mentioned so far.

AI baserunners are clueless. Diving back to the bag at times when unnecessary. At times, just standing there instead of automatically advancing on balls hit to the gap or even to the wall, and instead of what should be an automatic score, he's only able to advance to 3rd base, etc.

It's been like this for years. There has to be a better way. This and the unlimited check swings are at the top of my list

Pitching, we need a system like how hitting got perfect/perfect. No more hanging pitches.

    This 100000000000%

#1 GET RID OF THE RPL (random pitch locations)
#2 TAGGING (other than perfect throws home or to second on steals the tagging is horrendous)

There’s obviously some skill that goes into the game, but I want it to matter more next year. Like they said it would this year. Idc if I lose 150 games in a row, I don’t want a handout, I want to know where I stand competitively.

How can I ever gauge my progression if I handily beat a top 50 player and in the same day, find myself lost at the plate against a guy below .500?
The game isn’t “rigged” or even as bad as people say, BUT I’d be lying if I told you that I felt like the outcome was in my hands every game.

In the year 2020 I guess I thought video games would have came further along than being hampered by glitches and a HR banner for half of the year. And maybe this is just me, but the whole sports video game business/landscape just needs a makeover and a company that’s willing to take risks. I also figured we’d at least be closer to flying cars right now though.. Haha so maybe my expectations are a little high.

With all that said, I’ve had a lot of fun playing 20. I’m optimistic and rooting for SDS. Plus, the free to play aspect is a HUGE step in the right direction. #prayforMLB21

But getting perfect perfects dont guarantee a hit so there would still be a chance of a hanger. Really the only perfect perfect that pretty much a guarantee hit is the fly ball unless playing at a big park like polo grounds.

User input needs to matter more over card stats. Yes, card stats should have some effect but no reason a high control pitcher should be hanging/groving pitches on perfect releases or good PCI placement/good timing swings are essentially hitting balls with a wet noodle.

Part of this imo....make the launch angles and contact make sense with the PCI. I dont understand how center PCI swings are going off the end of the bat but on other times Im hitting tanks on balls completely outside of that center PCI circle. I should also not be hitting choppers on center PCI balls up in the zone and I should not be hitting lofty flyballs on stuff low that is still dropping (like sinkers/curves/changes). Occasionally sure, not as often as it occurs.

Also, fix Pitcher stamina. Starters need a higher drain rate, relievers should have it slightly slower. I'm actually ok with the post-game drain (it kinda sucks when trying to use guys more often but I get why its done). But Kluber/Hal should not throw 110 pitches and still be green energy.

Something like whatever their stamina value is....they should be in the yellow by the time they hit 70-80% of it (IE if your SP has 100 stamina...somewhere around 75 pitches they should be yellow, assuming they are having an easy game). More runners on base/in scoring position should drain it faster due to high leverage situations. RPs with like 25 stamina should be able to throw 20 pitches or so imo.

It’s funny that when you point out what’s wrong , but yet people will defend this game. I love the content, but it just is a nightmare dealing with every thing that is wrong

Fix pitching, check swings, and the timing window (shouldn’t vary from game to game so [censored] much). Also can head to head modes online play the same?! Ranked, BR, and events should all play the same no matter what difficulty it’s on.

Make online pitch speeds the same as the CPU. I played all those games in the Ruth Mission on HOF then went into Events or RS on All Star and getting the ball blown by me. Doesn't make sense. Now if its lag or something related to that get the matchmaking set up against the same ping.
