Who is the best catcher for ranked seasons on all star?
I have stuck with Salvy. Just ask yourself if you want offense or defense. Me i prefer a diamond fielding catcher, i can care less about the hitting. His job is to block and throw out runners. The occasional homer is just icing. I really wanted to pick Posey for my reward but took Minni since im a sox fan and still regret it lol

Still The All Mighty CAP
-
Biggio. On all levels.
-
@ministro787 I have contact CAP and could buy all equipment. Should I stick to that?
-
Otherwise I have prestige Torre or normal Posey? How's yadi???
-
Cap is always the best at every position you use it at. If you value catcher more than short its the pick.
Other than that your options are already listed. Posada is a beast offensively, weiters defensively, biggio is a good balance and doesnt hamper you with his speed, that to me is his biggest selling point.
I think Torre is better on higher difficulties because high contact middling power. He'll be a fly out magnet on allstar.
-
Jorge Posada, I've tried every catcher except 99 Piazza, and Jorge's bat blows them all out of the water and makes up for his defense
-
Great hitter that I have not had an issue with fielding to date anyway is Pablo Sandoval. Its his secondary position but he handles it well and hits like a high diamond.
-
None, all of them suck
-
YADI!!!!!!!!!
-
I love Matt Wieters. Arm is like a cannon and he'll hit the occasional home run for me. Occasionally.
-
I use Biggio, but he rarely throws out a good stealing runner. I’ve heard FS Bart is good, but have not tried him yet.
-
My current opinion.
Offensive: Posada & Panda
Defensive: Weiters & Bart -
Yadi has been super surprising for me. Defensive stud and his swing feels nice.
has come through in a few clutch moments as well
-
I start with Biggio and Didi at 2nd batting leadoff. If a lefty is on the mound, I put Posey in for Didi and then switch Biggio to second.
I really want to try Posada but I don't like his defense and then I would have nowhere for Posey's bat.
-
Doesn't really matter. Player ratings are irrelevant in this game. Just don't put a non-catcher in the spot. He will make errors. The developers did have the sense to code that factor into the game. Sort of surprised.
-
CAP is technically your best option. If you aren't using a CAP then put him at C.
However, if you use a CAP then he should be playing SS because of the massive upgrade that gives you over any other options at that position.
Posada, Biggio, and Posey are all top tier options, depending on if you value swith-hitting top tier offense, all around balance, or top tier defense.

Balanced is by far the best IMO but I'm sure a contact CAP with all the necessary gear is really good.

I liked Torre’s 92 or 93 OVR from MLB 19 better than the 98 SS this year. My CAP and Biggio share the vast majority of the catching duties right now.
Looking forward to Adley. But let’s get Josh Gibson, Fisk, Camp, and/or Yogi next year pleeeeeaase.
