Sheffield and Rivera are also included, along with three more diamond players to be revealed later.

Assuming that there will only be 6 players available; does anyone see these cards being crazy expensive right away?

I don’t know for sure, but I doubt they’ll be too expensive. The special editions of the game come with either one or two of the packs depending on the version, so that’s already a lot in circulation. I bet they’ll put these packs in the XP reward path, assuming it returns.

you could literally buy the base game, start 4 days later than everyone else, use your 5K stubs to buy one of those cards

Yeah pretty much

No bonus for pre-ordering earlier. I'll wait until Saturday's livestream to determine if I'll get the $80 or $100 version of the pre-order.

Yeah, I haven't preordered yet, but leaning toward DDE because it's now only 20 more instead of 30 and the extras seem worth it.

Probably but you can't always assume that's how its going to be

Probably because the pack has legends that have not been revealed yet. I think it's highly probable we know all the players in the pack before release date.
-
So far there is a left handed DH bench bat (I'd only consider playing Ortiz at 1st if he was pictured in a Twins uniform), Sheffield as a Marlin (If it's his 1996 All-Star card that will be a must have) and a Postseason Mariano Rivera card. More men have walked on the moon than have scored on Rivera in the postseason, so I am leaning heavily towards that card to make conquest games that much easier.

All 30 of the Diamond Choice Pack were revealed a week before launch.
However many cards end up in the Variety pack this year, I expect all of them will have been revealed by a similar schedule.
