take shippet out

just another senseless thread about shippett...
-
Another pointless thread about a worthless, P.O.S. little kiddie ballpark that helps kids with good reflexes hide the fact that they don't know how to pitch...
-
you have just as equal chance to score as many runs as your opponent on that stadium.
-
I just spend 13 whole minutes trying to find a game. To avoid playing at Shippet, I back out if I’m not the home team. So I backed out a lot. When I was home, my opponent backed out. Maybe he is trying to avoid Shippet, too, or maybe he is trying to guarantee Shippet.
Either way, Shippet is tiresome and the matchmaking tell is awful.
I don’t care if SDS changes a single thing about this game for ‘21 if they take out Shippet and eliminate the ability to tell if you’re home or away on the pitcher select screen.

I've wondered (without investigating myself) is the better park for offense, Shippett or Laughing Mountain. What do you all think? I know for the major league stadiums, Coors is the best. I figure Shibe is the best of the classics, yeah?
Laughing Mountain/Barnes Canyon are the same stadium except a couple minor changes behind the outfield...lol. Those are great stadiums. The gaps are triples alleys if you have above 70 speed with most of your team. Always was one of my favs.
-
Laughing mountain has the white sign behind the left handed release point.
Quality of life improvement idea.
Let people select MLB, Minor league or don't care for match making.
That will shut the front door on this issue for all of us.
-
If they fix MLB stadiums this wouldn’t be a problem at all. I think many people would like to play at real stadiums but the game really doesn’t allow for that to be reasonable

Randomized stadiums....I kinda like that...

I gotta ask......
How in the hell can you tell if you are the home or away team before the game actually starts?
Now I'm no noob, but I have no clue how to figure this out.... (watch it be the simplest thing in the world)....

There is a slight delay when scrolling through your starting pitchers and lineups. If when you press down to scroll through who you want to pick as your SP and the response isn’t immediate, you are the away team.
-
People scroll up and down the lineup. Any sort of lag, and you are away.
Really so stupid that people do this. Just freaking play the game...
-
While we are at it, let's eliminate Strikes.
Let's also get rid of that pesky rule where slow dudes need to run the bases. Sub in fast guys for them and let the slow dudes just hit.You do realize that BOTH of you recieve whatever advantage Shippett provides?

Could say the same thing abt guys that don’t know how to hit...

Bottom line is, the squeaky wheel gets the oil. So some of you can complain about complaints, but it was the complaints that have gotten so many things changed in the past.
So if there is something about the game that too many people in the community don’t like, they should speak up.

Actually, you can't.
Pitching has as much to do with sequencing and selection.
Take bat, swing bat.
Sorry, but pitching takes TONS more mental effort than swinging.
If I could pitch while you hit, we'd be content creators...

U kidding? Hitting approach is very mental. You’re “good” at pitching cuz u play very low in ranked at mlb stadiums.. not hard at all to pitch in mlb stadiums

Mitch, I agree with you about hitting. I find pitching coming down to me being able to hit my mark on the pitch meter.
Hitting is much harder and requires a bit more coordination to effefctively move the PCI and then time the swing correctly. What did you mean when you said it is not hard to pitch in MLB stadiums?
I find MLB stadiums to be average, Minor league parks tend to be smaller and "legend" parks tend to be larger (for the most part) due to their funky dimensions. -

Dude. You really are going to go there here on TSN?
I play games wherever the game puts me.
I don't make WS because I can't hit. It has zero to do with my pitching. You know the caliber of people I play custom league with. Stop trying to think I'm gloating about playing ranked in the 400's.
-
Shippet is always my home park. Couldn't care less about the dimensions. The oversized batters eye to me just makes it easier to pick up the ball and at the end of the day I play games to have fun. Its not fun playing away games in shadows or in parks where I can't see the ball well.

You played in a custom league with me...I suck. Anyways I think Mitch's point was that both you and your opponent will have it easier hitting. I'm not saying I like Shippett I'm just saying it can stay in the game
