Anyone else just have no interest in this program?

Not that the options are bad I just haven’t found myself to grind this program at all. Normally I get the boss within the first couple days but this program I have barely cracked 100 stars still and haven’t done the showdown. Having Ortiz who I love and soon to be Ruth kinda ruins Thomas for me even though he’d be a great platoon and I enjoy Bellinger and Larry so Harper really isn’t a need for me

I knocked it out quickly for the stubs, but yeah this has been the weakest of the last 3 innings/since the 99s dropped

I haven’t been able to play as much as I would like also which contributes to that but this weekend I’m gonna finish Ruth and Lester programs so the program will have to wait a little.

I'm at 218. Still need to do Showdown (0-16), Lester, and all the online missions.
I'm thinking I may just pass on the rest of the inning and play MTO to get my TAs caught up.
At least that when; when ibdevote hours to a more; I'm guaranteed at least some progress towards something.

Here is the biggest issue, they dropped mvp trout, babe, Hornsby , posada and Gagne. Harper will not play in an outfield where you have trout, mantle and walker. Plus you have Dawson and Lou Brock who are faster and better fielders then Harper. Thomas is not replacing babe, thome or kilibrew at 1st. So this inning is honestly a waste. Maybe I’ll pick frank up later down the road if the prime cards lead to another card

In a way, yeah I don't have much interest. I completed Ruth, and I'm just burnt out. There's no grinding for us offline guys. Much like in 19, that leads to burning out quicker, because you're not really working toward anything.
Time to take a break for a week or so, and play some other games.

It’s like the OP said tho, the boss choices aren’t weak, it’s just that there’s other similar/better options. Ruth and Ortiz negate Thomas to the bench as a platoon guy. And basically every great outfielder negates Harper to the bench as well. It also didn’t help when they compared Larry Walker to Bryce and basically proved Walker was the clear cut better choice stats wise. Dumb move on their part tbh

No offline content? How much offline content do you want from an online mode? I feel there is plenty of offline content constantly being added. Maybe dabble in online and u wont burn thru it in a couple days

Walter Johnson...
Yeah his wind up is horrible, but he is simple to prestige making his great attributes even better.
Small sample size of 8 starts, but 1.65 era with a free card isn’t bad.
Harper/Thomas look good but there are plenty of OF/1B out there already.
Still nothing will probably top the 5th inning program -

DD is not an online mode it's a card collecting mode

Not everyone uses the same cookie cutter cards. Options are always good. That’s the point of building your OWN ultimate team

I had the same issue, i got to 300 several days ago, but didn't open pack till last night when i finally settled on Johnson because i can use him in the event.
So far his wind up sucks, but not so bad i cant use him. What i dont like about him is the only pitch he has with lateral movement is sinker. I think guys online feast on change ups. So he is strictly a FB, Sinker pitcher with an occasional curve. Throw it too much and it can get hung and blasted. If he had a slider, slurve, or cutter, I'd say he would be by far the nest choice.
I think Harper has a great swing, but just no place to play him. Thomas was going to be my choice, but better options out there i hear his defense is trash, and i have had issues with bad defensive players even at 1B.

DD is not an online mode it's a card collecting mode
DD started as an online mode where we had to create and upgrage our own players.
