Best Starting Pitchers For All-Star (RS)

I usually have success with Wood on AS, but most are going to be terrible. You need to score a lot of runs in low divisions like that.

Hey Everyone -- I am not a good player and very, very rarely get out of All-Star. I try to play as much as possible when my 16 month old goes to sleep, but by the time that happens I'm usually exhausted and have a tough time concentrating in RS . I finally got Mantle and I am now looking for the best Starting Pitchers (if any) for the All-Star divisions. Right now, the only good pitchers I have are, obviously, Kluber and Newhouser and am still using the highest rated Live Series pitchers that I got when going for Mantle. Any advice appreciated. Thank you much!
Pitchers are terrible on as. You have to mix your pitches and locations well. That is really the only thing that will win you games consitently on as.

The best is Orel

I have had a TON of success with him on AS. But I consider myself to be an above avg. pitcher (and a work in progress hitter). There is some nuance to hitting spots with him and the aim point changes some as the game goes on. With that said I have still been susceptible to the occasional shelling, there are games where I am hitting all my spots and I feel like I'm not gonna be touched, and low and behold some guy lights me up like a palm tree on the 4th of july.

I do not score a lot runs and I win on AS but Pitching is where I succeed. I suck at hitting.

the key to pitching on AS is to pitch to the edges and get players to swing at pitches out of the zone, Don't be worried about walking a player. Learn what pitches and location you can get a double play on. I have turned so many double plays in this game. Every player has a weakness once you find it should take 1 or 2 innings then you exploit it. If they adjust you adjust on how you pitch. Do not be predictable with pitches or location unless it is a weakness in your opponent but be careful they are not setting you up. Know how the ball moves with each pitchers pitches this will help avoid pitches down the middle. Know what hitters in this game that can hit the ball for a HR that is pitched over his head and the hitters that can Hit home runs with balls going in the dirt. Pay attention to hitters swing paths. Never give in. A walk is better than a HR if you know how to pitch to a double play.

On all atar, especially in the 400 to 500s its really just about pitching with who you enjoy. Every player is viable at that level.

Prime Syndergaard is pretty good and relatively cheap

All pitchers are terrible on AS. Beat advice, try n figure out your opponent’s weakness early and exploit it
This so much.

Greinke and Paxton are my top 2 that don't seem to get killed too often.

If playing against people that are normally stuck in all star for the most part, Orel,Paxton, Sale, do pretty good. Also it’s fun to use a Nolan Ryan/ Greg Maddox combo. Again, I reside in all star level and I enjoy using these pitchers. Against players that are really good and are temporarily in all star, then I have no advice lol.

Pitching on AS is about you, we can give you all the recommendations in the world, but if you don't know what you are doing, it won't matter.
Like someone said, exploit your opponents weakness, if they chase, throw out of zone, if they ate constantly waiting on heat, throw breaking balls.
Orel has the best horizontal movement in the game and great speed differential, in my opinion that makes him the best. However if my opponent doesnt know how to use him, i will light him up. Yet any one with big FB and slow offspeed if used right will shut me out.
