Is Awards Stan serviceable in LF?
-
Depends if you want to catch a ball or not, both should definitely be at 1st imo but each to there own.
-
Nope, not unless a Jimmy Foxx is dropped on our skulls and doesn’t have Catcher as a secondary position
-
I wouldn't do it. I have him at 1st and Ruth on the bench. Ruth will get another chance once I finish prestige Stan. Outfield is Trout, Mantle, Walker and that's gonna be hard to break up.
-
every card is serviceable in LF
-
Thanks all, guess I might have to platoon him with Bags, though I think Stan has reverse splits. I'll try Stan in the Ruth moments, if I like his swing maybe Bagwell will take a sabbatical.
-
Ruth is better in RF and Stan at 1st but otherwise Stan's bat is awesome at least for me. Larry Walker though is the man and would be the play if that is an option. Best OF boss to come out yet.
-
Ruth isn't bad at all in RF. He's been as good as Reggie, and we survived with him in RF for months. I wouldn't use Stan anywhere but 1st, but he's my best hitter. If you don't hit great with him, go with what works for you. Everyone here will give you a different opinion, so just use YOUR best cards.
-
Yeah Walker has RF locked down for now, can't sit him. I'll give Stan a test for the last 4 Babe games, if I like his swing I may use him in RS. You two bring up good points, lots of cards out now, and more to come, I might as well change things up a bit. Sounds like Ruth would be okay in LF.

Sorry to bring this thread back up, but I used Stan in a couple of the Babe moments, absolutely love his swing. He will take over 1B for awhile, Bags will be a bench bat.
Think I'm at 89/100 on Ruth, just have the NL game and the MLB game left. Will try Babe in LF.

Or you can put a stronger feilder in left and put Ruth in his natural Right. Eitherway pick a home field that mitigates his weakness wherever you put him. You def. don't want a big outfield if you're outfielders are slow, etc.

I suppose I could move Walker to LF, I know Babe will take a hit there. I play at Turner Field, Dawson is my CF so LF is manageable, but who knows for road games.
When I hit 300 I will probably sell my boss, might buy someone like Foster, just realized my lineup will be kinda LH heavy.

Stan was one of the greatest hitters of all time, and usually, he's one of the greatest cards to use in this game every year. I'm glad you're enjoying him, he's a must have IMO.

I'd put Walker in left, he has the stats to make up for the secondary, you'll probably want to use every bit of Ruths fielding stats.
