Temporary upgrade, he’ll revert back to previous level later tomorrow. I know I thought the same thing then read the Disclaimer a little closer. Kinda disappointing because that would solve my SS hole in my lineup after I’ve done the prestige grind Correa. Not really looking forward to Larkin at Short.
There are gonna be a lot of really dissapointed people... SDS might get some backlash on this as people sold cards and spent a fortune to get him only to find out he's a ghost. If this was permanent it would tank the entire ss, 3b, 2b market, which it kind of did for a min. there.
I'm sure there will be complaining, but it says it right on the DD homepage that the boost is only for 48 hours.

Are you using a CAP? I recently started making my CAP for the first time ever. Never used one in a previous year and I'm shocked at how good he actually turns out to be. If you do all the moments (1-2 hours tops depending on skill) he is an 82 gold. Then if you buy the diamond equipment (45ish k if you don't have any) he ends up as a carbon copy of 99 Jimmy Rollins. Maybe a bit better.
150 innings later(which isn't that long) and he's the best player on your team. Diamond diamond, 100+ contact and power both sides. 90+ speed, defense, arm and accuracy. Plus switch hitting and you get to pick your favorite/most glitchy swing.
I 100% reccomend this since I'm not sure there's going to be a better switch hitting option.

Used him offline this morning and he crushes grinding daylies and such. Cool idea, I hope they keep doing things like this to shake it up. I agree though, there are going to be some misguided freak outs when he reverts back.

I do get that it says 48 hr's only, but I guess I can understand how people could think it means you only have 48 hrs. to get it. Though I think that would be more believable if it were 72 hr's over the wknd as the window could be closed before people even realize it was open.
I don't see how they don't make this card available in some form, whether it be a Lightning or whatever, it's kind of a dirty tease if they don't. Maybe you get extra points for POTM if you acquired this card 1st?
With 99 Paxton I don't see going backwards with the diamond rating right?
