Who’s the best 3rd baseman you’ve played with?
-
Chipper Jones
-
Chipper is great, although I would be apprehensive to say he's worth it at the current market price. Killebrew and Brett are both great options as well, and that free Longoria card is no slouch. You could also get Panda and have him play 3b or C. Also, the 98 DotP Sig Series Boggs is really good.

Daniel Murphy
-
Red Chipper and Nolan Jones
-
Cal Ripkin
-
Pablo or chipper whichever is cheaper at the time. Pablo can also play catcher
-
Sheffield for most of the season, but have been trying Brett the last few weeks. Both solid.
-
Chipper jones is one of the best players in this game
-
Brett
Always play well with his cards
-
MVP Kris Bryant for me
-
Chipper , Prestige Correa, and Sheffield all have logged good minutes for me. Haven not used killebrew or Brett yet
-
Gorman!!
-
Pablo. You won't regret it. Dude smashes wayyyy above his attributes.
-
Havn't tried the bigger end guys (Schmidt/Brett/Bryant) but i agree the Panda smashes the ball around the field. He's been very helpfull in the Ruth moments for me.
-
I use 99 Jackie at 3B, because I love HRD Cano at 2B

Scmidt's defense is second to none. If his stance and swing work for you then you won't find better. As much as I wanted him to work out for me I just can't hit with him. I tried out Brett and he's a good compromise. D is almost as good (his arm, while still strong, isn't as strong as Schmidt's), but I can hit great with him, and he has surprising power, I've hit more dingers with him in a short time than with Schmidt over a longer sample size.
I guess I'm in the minority that sees a benefit of solid D at 3rd base. Didi doesn't have the arm, I did use Correa quite a bit at 3rd earlier in the season, but Brett is an upgrade.

I don't think I can like and relate to this post enough. Schmidt was a no-brainer to me. On paper anyway. I seriously couldn't get used to that stance and slow/long bat he has. I sub him in just for that defense in close games in RS though.
I am one of those others that values defense at 3B and I've ended up winning games online because of errors when the other team had so-so 3B's. Used to have Chipper and Brett. I had numerous throwing errors with Chipper on many close plays and I sold him eventually. Brett is probably the best, pure 3B in the game. Great D, butter swing, surprising pop that leaves the yard or goes in for a deep gap.
Right now, I have Banks at 3B and he's been really good over there so far, but I miss that Brett card from time to time. I switch between Story and J-Roll at Short.

Killebrew

Pablo... his swing is butter

Still using Chapman at 3rd, I cant give up the 99 fielding and reaction.
