Top End Cards we are still waiting for
-
We are quickly approaching the end of another MLB the Show cycle.
While we still have a bit to go, we all know that the end is near when you are benching 99 OVR cards for other 99's.I decided to make a list of top end cards some if not most of us are waiting for:
Kershaw
Gehrig
Gibson
Wagner (next BR Reward?)
Jimmy Foxx (for Gut Foxx)
Piazza
Willie Mays
Verlander (?)
Honus
Goose
Pujols
Ted Williams
Ty Cobb
Jansen
and my personal favorite DJ Dan Plesac. -
Great list.....And 2B Joe Morgan, who I think will be an 8th inning Boss. Wagner will be a BR reward next I think for sure.
-
Ha! Love DJ Dan on the Network! That dude is funny! "Hello Chief... It's Max"
I'm really just looking for Willie, Jr, and FS Franco for SS at this point.

DJ Dan just cracks me up!!
And when he is on with Sean Casey and Amsinger the show is even better.
What I love is the even though he was a good player, he is willing to make fun of certain parts of his career.Send all compliants to @Plesac19

I am thinking Gossage since he was "free" last year.
-
And if we narrow it down even further and picking which ones could be inning bosses:
Kershaw, Foxx, Mays, Honus, Cobb, Jansen. All the other ones were bosses last year. Since there is 12 innings rumored(confirmed?), we have 4 innings of bosses left(1 of which will probably be finest like last year), and one endless inning. So we basically have the 6 I named, Betts, Yelich, Eckersley(maybe), Morgan, Pudge, FS Franco/Adley, Scherzer and maybe a few more for the pool of bosses -
I forgot about Eck!!!
We are still missing 2 of the 3 Live series collection cards from last year;the AL Card Pudge and Willie Mays.
I figure one if not both are coming soon.
Could Pudge be the BR Reward (Gold Glove card)? -

Could Pudge be the BR Reward (Gold Glove card)? He could, but I think he would get an MVP card first. Alomar or Andruw Jones make more sense to get a Gold Glove card

Yeah, Alomar would be nice. We have a ways to go.
Andruw Jones might not play in many outfields. Unless you are a Braves fan who would he replace? Not Trout or Mickey, Walker? If Jones gets an accurate card he will have much lower contact and vision than Walker. The Power will be similar as Jones had about 50 more career HRs than Walker in about 700 more ABs. -

They are going to get a card eventually

I get you, It is just a shame that they are going to release a great Jones card late in the cycle again. I know he had a 1st inning card last year, but that card was out of most lineups within 2 months.
Jones should never be a 99 OVR card, so hopefully we will get him earlier next year.

That's right how could I forget Larry?
He already has a Boss card that can go up to a 96 OVR, He might be a BR/WS reward or TA4? -
At this point I need a 99 Chipper Jones. 3B is the only position I can really upgrade
-
Don’t forget 99 Griffey. The 98 HRD doesn’t cut it.

Probably him own program or moments extreme (if they do that again). TA4 is a good guess if they do legends again
-
We need Kenley Jansen too!!
-
You know what card I would love to see but there is ZERO chance in hell we see it because the guy is a total POS?
1999 PS John Rocker
That guy was so clutch that postseason. I remember his epic ABs vs Mike Piazza. That NLCS was one of the best performances by a reliever I have ever seen in the playoffs.I looked up his #'s from that postseason and they were even better than what I remembered.
10 Games
12 IP
18K's
1-0 Record
3 Saves
0.00 ERA -

Is a 99 Griffey gonna be better than Mantle/Trout/Walker though?? He'd take over Walkers spot ideally, but would need some wicked offensive and equal defense for me to replace the anaconda in RF.

At that point it will come down to personal preference.
For example, I have to think long and hard about what to do with Harper.
Why? I have always mashed with Harper cards. So will I hit so much better with this Harper that I can bench Walker? That is something I doubt, but in order to give Harper a shot (75 ABs) Walker has to sit.
