HOF Ruth games

Is it just me or does the forum seem to blow them out of proportion? Just finished the last division one (started with the all time team and worked my way backwards) and didn’t struggle with them at all. Pitchers I used (which im assuming most everyone has/can get)
Kluber till he gets to bat then pinch hit him
Edwin Diaz then comes in for the second (sometimes third time) around
Then close it out with LS chap/eck/fingers
I think I had 4 runs scored on me total in all those games. That and just let the cpu walk you for a couple runs and you’re done! Would recommend that pitcher rotation if you are struggling I guess! Now time to suffer through 30 3 inning games! Happy grinding!

I beat all 3 AL divisions on Hof Tonight and it wasnt as tough as i thought since i have never played any higher than all-star. Ryne Sandberg has been my MVP so far with 4 hrs including a first inning grand slam vs newhouser and The new Longoria card has been very solid got 3 hrs also in the 3 games .
Pitching wise Maddux was dominate until the Al West he only lasted 1 inning after a 2 run hr by Griffey and some hard line outs but then Hoffman came in and got 2 innings done along with hader for 1 and then Gagne to shut em down for the win .
Gonna try and play all 3 nl games tomorrow night but its the Wifes early day at work so never know

So what you’re saying is that you’re going to fatigue yourself with a really boring grind (and it is really efffing boring ,which In and of itself is mentally fatiguing) prior to new content coming out. Sounds like a great idea.

So far only lost 1 which was to the AL Central team. Thome killed me with 2 three run shots.
Otherwise I have been doing pretty good usually enter the last inning with a 2 or 3 run lead leave some room for error

Everyone has differing skill levels, so I'm sure there are some that will struggle with HOF difficulty. I normally play vs CPU on HOF for my 9 inning games anyway so it wasnt all that different for me. There are probably some that wont be able to win and complete.

I beat the AL East HOF moment the first time and then lost the AL Central like 4 times. Then I went back to the All Star moments and finished all of them. I kind of hope they add an exchange mission or some missions with Longoria and Hoffman to compensate for the HOF moments.

This forum blows everything out of proportion. Pitching moments are the single easiest thing to do in this game people just don’t like that they take longer than 5 minutes

The Ruth games were time consuming, but Easy.

The HOF games have been pretty easy, I have low scoring games 1-0 or 2-1. The AS games are super easy. I use Orel and if I need a relief pitchers it is Sutter

Went 39-2. Only 2 games I lost were the AL and NL once each, and the same way interestingly...bottom 6, two run lead, Rivera on the mound, get first out, then grind out the second CPU at bat only to give up a hit on a pitch out of the zone, then first pitch hit to have 2 men on, then first pitch no doubt 3 run walk off homer for the CPU. You know it when the CPU locks in on ya! Replayed and won easy the next time and won the final 3-1. Welcome back to my lineup after a year away Babe!

I actually enjoy it. It's a nice break from RS & Events. I don't find it boring or fatiguing at all.

I got a late start this evening so I only got 16/30 done. I'm doing all the RHP ones first with a lefty or switch hitter lineup (exception is 99 Trout) witn a couple right handed bats on the bench. Once those are done I will change my line up to all righty or switch hitters, but will keep a couple left handed bats on the bench. Im actually having a good time grinding these out. I will get up in the morning and should have them all done prior to 7th inning launch at 2 pm cst. I want to have Babe Ruth in place so I can decide on 99 Harper or 99 Thomas.

On to the NL divisions and then I'm done...I hope. I got no patience and they are wearing thin these days.

CGSO for Kluber against All Timers and it's over for me. Part of me is happy to be done with this mindless grind, part of me will miss the grind as the offline play was refreshing especially since I'm taking a pass at the current event (103 wins from parts 1&2 and don't like the 90-rating cap setup).
