I don’t know if it is just me but they are not good. Some of the have some good stats plus the inside edge will be good but a lot have very slow speed like lindor with a 56. Plus a lot of them have bad hitting or not great like lindor belinger and some others. Also yellich should be just as high a overall the belinger.what do you guys think?
I think they did this intentionally to make fielding harder and increase the hit variety as a result of that. Especially with these new fielding mechanics, you're gonna have to make decisions on whether you wanna play that big bat in the outfield with the risk of being horrendous in the field with real noticable consequences unlike previous years. Guys like JD Martinez and Yelich would fit that category for example.

As far as the hitting, I'm okay with the stats being as they are. Shrink the PCI and make good input harder to achieve, but reward us when we do get good input.

If user input matters then I'll be more than happy to use these cards
They all have a trade off, using cards like Gallo and Judge will cost vision while cards like Lindor and Realmuto have worse all around hitting but better vision and the best hitters have really bad defense
I like it

It seems to me that they are just leaving room for Legend players to be better. I was disappointed to see the 100-125 attributes again.
Also, didn’t really love that Altuve, Bregman and Springer seem more or less the same and they just zipped by them in the stream without comment.

Probably because they're not sure how accurate those ratings are when there are no trash cans involved

I agree, I have not really seen if 125 now is anything different from 99 in 17.

so My question is, are the legends going to have lower attributes in this years game?
-
I doubt it. They cited “advanced metrics” without bias as the basis for attributes for LS cards. I would expect legends to be similar to what they were this year.
-
I am hoping that Stat Creep will be lower which will make some gold LS, Rookie, and Veteran cards viable till at least late May-Mid June. This will be good for the game as a wider variety of cards will be played in RS early on.
I was watching the lifestream not so much to see who was starting as a diamond as to check out which players I want who are not starting as diamond. If I can score a gold Bell early on as a starting 1B, he can sit on my bench for a good long while into the summer. Same goes for a few young legacy Blue Jays.
-
I really enjoy the part of the season where LS cards still make lineups.
