Back in 17 Griffey and Schmidt each got 2 99s. Griffey also is a different case then anyone else. They wouldn’t just release 2 griffeys that have poor contact, fielding and speed and not give him a 99
That sounds dumb man. Should we expect 99s of Boggs, Molina, Mattingly, Brock etc? I'm genuinely curious, I only played 18 (and didnt start until late August) so we had the immortals representing the top cards.
No way we see multiple 99s now. Signature series, Awards, Prime, or FOTF(in the legends case) are their top cards. Griffey is the only exception. In 17 the current 95 Griffey was a 99 under the different rating scale
I brought those up as they are 98s like Griffeys highest.
Let’s put it this way. The only guys that have a 95+ already that will get another card are Griffey, Mathewson, and Cy Young
So Chipper and Ripken don't get a 99?

I doubt it will be Finest cards because I think TA4 will release before the end of the regular season, just a hunch. I'm thinking they're just gonna be all sig series cards for franchise favorites across the board. TA3 were all retired players. Sig series would allow TA4 to be any combination of active or retired players.

While I somewhat agree, they couldn’t all be sig series. The Rays ONLY option is Longoria and sig series cards that have been in both 19 and 20(carew, sale, Boggs) have been exact copies, so a Longoria sig series would be 96 overall. I think all of the stage 4 cards will be 99s.

He could. That season was incredible. I just don’t think they will double up on a player from stage 1 as the stage 4

That is true. Zobrist? I wonder if they lost the rights to Huff even the card is not a 99. They could do all Sig and not be 99.

Or maybe staying with their consistent theme for each round they could do something like franchise award winners and have an awards series card for each team. I'm betting they could come up with a high diamond awards card for at least one player for each franchise. That may even solve the mystery of who they'd release for the Royals, as I could see a 2011 or 2012 Alex Gordon awards card getting juiced to maaaaybe a 97.

Same with Brett for the Royals or Yount for the Brewers...And I would agree with you if there wasn’t more cards to release than ways to release them. They usually stop content around december/January. You got to think there are 8 more RS rewards, 8 more BR rewards, 8-10 more events rewards, Roughly 30-40 more headliners, at least 8 or 10 of which will be future stars probably, possible updates to the Ducks on the pond, 3 or 4 more inning programs in which Griffey, Ted, Pujols, Bench, Seaver, Gehrig, Gibson, and Piazza will not be a part of since they were last year, and possible sig team moments/showdown extreme. They could very easily have a finest pack like in the past. There are too many legends and flashbacks to release with such limited ways to release them

Same with Brett for the Royals or Yount for the Brewers...A Finest card for the Padres, Royals or Brewers won't be bigger or better than Gwynn, Brett or Yount either. SDS hasn't gone more than two months between releasing the different stages of TA. Stage 3 was late June. It's reasonable to conclude stage 4 would be early/mid September, which would be before the end of the season. Plus it would then still give SDS a reason to push packs and/or other programs for Finest.
