So I'm stuck in the AS level hell that we all love so much. I'm 1-3 in games tonight where my opponent didn't quit before a pitch was thrown and in those 4 games I have 38 hits compared to my opponent's 41. So things are pretty even.

However, I've noticed that games in AS difficulty are basically decided by who the RNGods just decide to give HRs to and in those 4 games my opponent's have HRs on 17/41 hits compared to me having a HR on 5/38. In one game, at one point, I was losing to a guy because I had 14 hits and ZERO HRs compared to him having a HR on 6/10 hits. And it wasn't that he was putting better swings on the ball. I had three perfect swings for 3 singles while he had HRs on a "just early" swing and an "early" swing.

I understand that baseball involves some "luck" or "chance" or whatever you want to call it. But it just seems weird that year after year we accept a game where that luck is the major deciding factor in everything but the highest difficulties (and even in those a lot of times too).

I played a 14 inning event game that I eventually won 1-0 my opponent struck out 27 times I Stuck out 12 times he had like 7 hits I had 5 hits. I am not a great hitter but I can make contact. I hit a HR with Alomar to walk it off.

Lol, yeah I didn’t really play last season but had made World Series season before. Holy hell started at 550, was up 7-2 early and all of a sudden my squared up started landing all at the track. Opponent out of no where catches up walks off 9-8 lol. All star is the worst.

Update: just played a game this morning and my opponent had HRs on 6/10 hits while I had HRs on 1/5 hits and lined out 4 times.

He legit had an at-bat where he put 6 bad swings on balls and they were ALL foul balls. Then on the 8th or 9th pitch of the AB, my 99 prestiged Smoltz decided it would be good to hang a splitter down the middle and he hits it out. So this dude literally puts 6 bad swings on balls and is never punished and then is given a HR. Putting a good swing on a ball 1/7 times is NOT a good player, but this POS game on AS difficulty is an absolute joke

It's a joke. Games are literally decided by who the game randomly decides to give HRs to. And it IS random. Had a perfect swing with 125 power, prestige Thome and it got run down on the warning track.

I agree. Only I can't get out of AS right now. I'm a WS player who beat pitching rebel earlier this year and I'm a .500 player on AS this ranked season becausey opponent's are arbitrarily hitting literally 3x as many HRs as me.

Same seems like everything my opponent touches is out even when I clearly see they’re late on all their swings, or flailing at off speed it makes no sense. I’m at 506 or something it’s hell doesn’t make me want to play ranked at all

ahh good to see nothing has changed about this game, thank you all, every time I want to start this game up and play a ranked season game, I am reminded of why I stopped playing 3 months ago. Is anyone still playing the show 19? its not much better than this, but at least I don't have to face 5 starters every game.
