Dashboarding solution- Report

Post game, you have the ability to report people for network issues, profanity, team name etc. Add a dashboarding button.
I know. It's a free win. Whatever.
In every online gaming world, there is intentional griefing which is frowned upon and also against most TOS for online play.
Having this feature would allow SDS to have data on chronic dashboarders and potentially do something about it. It would also deter people from doing it.
Yeah, there are legit disconnects that might be improperly reported. Most aren't though. It's always the same guys that do it too.
Just a thought as my HR from a second basemen gets erased because the opponent that bunts with Chipper Jones was butthurt over losing to Altuve.

Relax Karen
-
Take the free win and quit whining.
If you're gonna complain about anything, then complain about the horrendous pitching where pitches get constantly forced over the middle of the plate.
-
Find something worth complaining about, until then, take a seat and shhhh
-
There is a difference between a suggestion and a complaint. That is of course, unless you can't grasp the concept because snarky replies might get a like.

Kinda the point. When the score is tied or losing, and somebody does it 15 times a day, you start to question the intent.
It's really easy to implement and get data on. I'm not asking for a witch hunt on the guy that dashboarded once this week. I'm after the chronic guys that litter events since it's a no risk environment. We all know the type.
It's a quality of life request. It's not a complaint. Honestly, if you oppose the idea, you're probably just a dashboarder yourself.
This is minimal coding and won't take away from all of the gameplay fixes people think that they are working on.(Ha ha ha)
2 of 3 event games last night ended in my opponent dashboarding. It's worse than ever this year, SDS can address it and is choosing not to take the complicated route of fixing coding. My suggestion is a simple one and will probably be ignored.

You’re right. When your opponent loses connection mid-flight on a homerun it is definitely because their power went out at that very instant. A little common sense would allow anyone to determine if a disconnect is due to an opponent dashboading, but that may be beyond some players.
An easier solution would be to remove prestige requirements from online play since that is the main reason why people care about opponents dashboarding. Otherwise it’s just a free win. HR stats could also be counted the moment the bat makes contact with the ball since the game has already determined the outcome at that point, but I have to imagine that due to the way the game collects stats SDS isn’t capable of making that simple change. Otherwise they would have done it by now.

So I have spotty connection and my DC's coincide with getting HR's hit off me.
I am to get punished for spotty internet?

Yes, to the fullest extent of the law.
Seriously though, the probability of your internet consistently cutting out at the moment your opponent hits a home run while you are losing is unbelievably low. Like Michael Jordan showing up at your house for a pick up game of basketball, him losing said pick up game, and then buying you a pony low.
Edit: I forgot to mention that Bill Murray and Bugs Bunny showed up to watch the pick up game. That part is important.
-
Your honor my client has clearly established that there is enough reasonable doubt to show his spotty internet is the reason for the coincidental drops.
Judge: Not guilty on all charges
Client: I'm finna dashboard everyone leggggooooooo

Here's a funny thought.
How you feel about the computer dashboarding you during moments?
Oh wait. The same people dashboarding games, dashboard the computer during multi game moments.
-
If they could make in-progress plays count when one party disconnects that would solve everything, at least with homers. If your opponent knows the ball is leaving there’s no reason why the game shouldn’t recognize it as well. As for those saying it’s not a big issue I disagree. The best cards in the game are prestiged cards and in order to get them you have to grind online (heavily for some), having some of those stats not count because someone quits mid flight is garbage. If we were to boost for those stats it’d be frowned upon, why should I get penalized for doing it the right way?

If you don’t dashboard in multi game moments you are just giving yourself unnecessary stress in moments. Solution to the online Dashboarding thing is just to not have online missions. Simple

if they dashboard in Ranked Seasons- enjoy the win. much more important than the 3 run jack you just hit with whoever. If they dashboard in events- move on..the games are so fast it is what it is and again, a free win. This isn't too big of an issue compared to a lot of the things they still need to work on.
-
Seems like we have some dashboards here huh? Get me out of this place
-
Flawed logic. I don't care about dashboarding personally, but off the top of my head a solution I see making more sense something where the current play or inning ends. Treat it as someone putting their controller down where outfielders won't throw the ball, pitchers will only throw meat, etc.
At the end of the play or even the end of the inning give the "lost connection to opponent" notification and the win to the player who is still there.
Another idea that would potentially work would be a cool down timer. If you disconnect from a game you can't play online for a designated time. Multiple disconnects within a certain time frame add length to the timer.
I'm not going to say it should be easy to add into the game because I know nothing about the back-end coding side of things, but other games do implement things like this so I know at the very least it IS possible.

Lower the post game reward %, stubs, and XP every time somebody dashboards. It’s a very simple solution that most games like this already have.
Dashboard once you get 99% of the rewards, no bid deal. People that have done it hundreds of times don’t need stubs and XP for playing the game, they are doing the opposite.
