Long list of best cards at each position

Great list.
The only one that made me say NO WAY!!!
Was Mo as the #1 Righty in the pen.His card was an absolute bleep show for me and every time I see him I light him up. And I am HORRIBLE at hitting.
Lot's of people I have asked feel the same way.
Other than you, I have never met anyone say Mo was the best.loved the list, grest conversation starter.
I am with you in that I rock Mo every time I face him but when I use him, he has been the best righty for me. I seldom give anything up with him on all star or HOF.

Def some room for discussion here, but I also think you've given this some deep thought and consideration as well. I'd put Pablo and Wieters above Posey. I think Cano is better 2nd considering how important power is this year, and Jackie and Murphy need serious consideration as higher contenders on the 2b list as well.
Have you played the 99 Maddox in RS? I'm interested in how that card plays - especially at lower RS ranking levels.
I just faced Maddox today at the 600 level (all-star) if my opponent mixed up his pitches better I wouldn’t of had a chance. But the cutter inside if you can locate that, and not hang the curveball, circle-change I would say he’s very usable at the lower levels tbh
Is he anything like Orel?
Orel doesn't throw gas but is so good.Orel Hershiser's release point is what makes him so good. Of course that his pitch repertoire helps but other pitchers with similar repertoire can't do as well as Hershiser. However, if you are facing Hershiser just switch to an offset camara view and problem solved.

How I'd love to try out Mize. Limited quantity of that card. I have the stubs, but that's a ton for a starter. The Chapman one as well intrigues me. McGee has been hit and miss for me. Literally.
Great list btw! I share pretty much the same outlook as you do.
I haven’t tried him but he is supposed to be amazing

What about Fotf jones or Sheffield at 3rd base?

@wingspan1985 said in Long list of best cards at each position:
How has Sutton pitched for everyone that has him? Was planning on buying Glavine, but his price shot way up, so it will be a bit. My top 4 will be Maddux, Smoltz, Orel, and Wood. I know Smoltz isn't a favorite here, but I usually do okay with him in RS.
Anyway looking for a number 5, have Kluber, Hal, Felix and others but Sutton is tempting. Not many stubs I know, but seeing him up that high made me wonder if I should pick him up.
He is really good if you use him correctly. Used him for 8 innings on all star. Mix on the screwball and knuckle curve but mostly throw the other pitches. His control is outstanding

Agree with all but one thing
KENDALL!!!!!
No way he is the 9th best catcher, he may not have the power of others but he is a doubles machine and his defense is really good. Hes my started and he is not going anywhere else.

Kendall was my favorite catcher last year. I should put him in the lineup, but that. Biggio cars is filthy

Why isn't ben zobrist number 1 in all of them?

Good work. Might be helpful to add where you can obtain each player since many cannot be purchased and you may not know where to find them.

I’m on the game now. I’ll probably do it later! Edit: I’ll do it sometime tomorrow!

Ridiculously accurate in my opinion. If I take Posey away it’s basically my team except Didi plays 3rd Biggio C to make room for Cano at 2nd.
Only guy I don’t like way down the list is Newhouser who is still my #1 choice

His control can be a problem sometimes. Overall he is good. I think the others ahead of him are better. Maybe I’ll move him up if more people like him better than my ranking

It's so subjective with him. "I get lit" is his favorite thing to say with his actions when he pitches for me.

I’ve done really well with Smoltz in this event. He’s got a low 2s ERA which is insane for me on all star. I use the splitter changeup combo pretty effectively to get a lot of bad timing ground balls or pop ups.

Great list. I like most of it besides having Edwin Diaz on your relievers. I also think Singer shouldn't be on the list. doesn't have good per/9s or pitches. For hitting the only one I disagree with is Stanton...the defense is terrible. Simmons could be on my list as well
