This year they made the fastball actually require sitting on it and adjusting off of it. Thats how it is in real life and it does its best to simulate that. Ideally you play on a 1080 computer monitor with low refresh rate. If thats not an option check if your TB has a game mode. If not you're in a rough spot trying to track fastballs.

I swing and miss a ton and K very often. That’s why 3 inning games fit me well.

Do you play on a T.V.? I'd check your settings and see if you can put it in game mode

Does everyone play on a monitor or something?

Some context, so I’m not ranting into the void (but rather at something), I am using a 1080p monitor with a response time of -.1 ms in game mode and am trying both strike zone one and 3. Been playing this game online for years, and haven’t had this issue since 17. It is my first month back to the game after two months off because of how bad it was earlier In the year. Was hoping pitch speeds would be adjusted by now. Don’t get me wrong, I love this game offline. The second I take it online though...

If you want to be competitive, it's almost a must unless you're uber talented.

I very much support pitch speeds this year, last year it was almost impossible to strike people out, and in 18..... yikes.

So I struggle with fastballs too and I've been testing strikezone offset and sitting high and inside, it lets me sit in a tunnel on that corner and right on right thats the quickest a pitch gets to you. I still suck but maybe something to try? Also have to remember the PCI isnt the bat but where you ideally want to make contact so like being inside and early of a faster pitch is usually favorable.

Internet connection has a lot to do with pitch speeds I think. Check your connection and see if there is any way to improve it. It's not feasible for me to hardwire into my playstation, so I have to connect through wifi. My connection is good some days and terrible others, I can definitely tell a difference in pitch speeds and lagging

If you are playing on TV switch it to game mode, most modern TVs have this option

I have the opposite problem. When I swing and miss it’s usually too early

I'll never play on a monitor, because I'm not super competitive and winning at this game isn't important enough to justify switching from the awesomeness of my 58 inch TV.

In my case I'm skeptical that it would help much anyway since my timing is usually fine. The reason for my hitting difficulties has more to do with my comically bad plate discipline, and a monitor won't stop me from helplessly flailing at balls way out of the zone because I'm too impatient to take pitches.
