Just came here to post this if I didn’t see a thread on it. I’m on game 46 and can only remember 1 opponent with a losing record. Probably about 75% prestige level players also (although at this point, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything).
-
I thought I was the only one! At least I’m not facing a lot of starters coming out of the bullpen. A lot of Hershiser’s. A lot of people are prestige too.

I usually lose the first game win the second and lose the third lol sometimes get to game 4 or 5 with team
So usually I win a game then lose as well but usually that game after I loss is much easier. In this event I take an L the face a WS banner it’s brutal lol
I struggled mightily last event with this on all star I feel like I at least have a chance lose a ton of 1-0 games cause can’t hit
I either win the game 1-0 with a white knuckle Tom Henke save or I get obliterated. My hitting was bad before, in this event I make Bob Uecker look like Mike Trout.
I’m trying to prestige Kerry Wood in this event and I’ve deemed it impossible. The guy gives up 5 runs minimum a start. As far as pitchers I’ve used he might suffer the most from all Star difficulty. He’s unhittable in HOF but AS? Straight bating practice
I’m struggling getting Ks in this event with Paxton. Everyone hits somehow

I never use starters out of the pen, but if I am getting shelled and I already have 1 loss, I will throw out a prestigable card like King Felix or Leiter to get the last inning.

Everyone I face is a monster. Hitting .350 with all of the big cards like Mickey, Walker and Sheff.
Gotta find a way to get 39 wins by August 7. -

Is no one bad playing this event (no offense)? Seems like every game I play is against a guy with a WS Banner or a 750 winning percentage. I don’t mind the competition but sheesh I’m not trying to sweat through every game especially in events
I feel you everyone has a winning record or that ws banner up to 27 wins but been a grind.

I'm mediocre and played a WS guy who quit after he went out 1-2-3 in the top of the first. Not sure if he was playing for Prestige but I was happy for the free Event win.
Outside that I have noticed few newbies seem to be playing Events. Every game is against a 98 OVR God squad .
-
im not great and ive been playing but it seems ive been playing alot of people that cant pitch or just try and bunt so i just wait for the walks and throw nothing but high fastballs until they stop bunting

I was wondering this, I suck but everyone else seems to be a WS player at level 50 prestige. I know the level means nothing, but they have some good cards. I think I'm the only person who doesn't have Mantle, I could've, but bought other cards and wasted stubs.
I've got 6 wins, if I can just get enough to get Simmons, is it 50 for him?

Don't worry about the Prestige level, that is an indicator of willingness to grind as much as it is skill.
Yep, it is 50 wins Simmons, but 35 for Upton.

This is a terrible event for newer folks since every card can be used. I'm ready for the next event to have more strategy involved in building a lineup.

In online play is it zone hitting only? I use directional because I'm awful and have never played online but was thinking about doing so to earn more program stars. However, if I'm forced to use zone hitting then I'll just grind another way. Thanks.

Nope not forced but very hard to win games using directional online

Ya, mostly sweat for me. All prestiged teams, most in prestige xp, I miss the moonshot event lol. Still trying to get Chipper prestiged

Gonna be a grind, but I kinda want both cards being a Braves fan. Neither are endgame, but might be fun to use.
Good luck to you getting those 39 wins!

I lost like 5 games on Monday night by 1 run. Couldn't buy a win. Last night went 3-1 and beat two WS banners. I have all the players because I was lucky with free pack pulls and Cole/Trout prices crashed when the FOTF players came out and were sellable. I think I'm at Prestige level 17 but that doesn't make me great just means that I have played a lot and finished the collection for the XP.
-
I think my win percentage for this event is like 28% or some horrendous [censored]. I either get frustrated mad or rage quit . I’m only in it for the stats and packs anyway .
-
I won’t ever use a starter out of the pen in ranked seasons, but events has pretty much been made the prestige stats mode and I have 5 starters to prestige and 0 relievers.
-
Tough matches with it being All-Star settings. Home runs galore.
