so the clues are "Big" and "Chase". The only big chase i can think of is oj simpson and the bronco. OJ was know as Juice. Juice is another name for steroids. I think of steroids and Bonds comes to mind.

That's some 6 degrees of kevin bacon stuff right there

Ya know... seems like a lot of people forget that Griffey Jr was only 2 hr shy of McGuire at the All star break. He had 35, Sosa 33, and McGuire 37, I believe.

Didn’t Griffey have 41 Home runs at the All-Star break in 1994 before the season got cancelled?

He did but two collections leading to JR is unlikely IMO.

Oh I know, there’s no way it will be Griffey. I just think it has to be somebody new because of all the hype around this collection. I don’t think it will have multiple players either, but if it did that would be great

I think Matt Williams was on pace to break 61 that year too. That also woulda been year Gwynn had a chance to hit .400. I think he wa[censored]ting .394 when the strike happened

I’ve been researching this topic for the last few days and cross referencing home runs batting averages stolen bases and fielding pct, my verdict is that it’s not a new legend sorry to say. It’s going to be Willy Mays... look with a career 660 home runs and an average of 36-37 home runs yearly, career batting average of .302 WaR of 156.2 3283 hits 1903 RBIs and 338 stolen bases where he had seasons of 40+ I think it’s going to be Willy mays

I would agree with you 100% normally, but the fact that Mays was the collection reward last year makes me think it’s not gonna be him

I mean if it is mays that’ll be a disappointment but he’s the only logical guess, He’s one of the best players in history

He’s absolutely one of the best players ever. And I think we will get his 99 card with Inning 8, just not with the collections

By disappointment I don’t mean it would be like a slap in the face or anything I mean everyone is expecting someone new, Mays isn’t new.. I’d use the card a lot , I used him all year last year.

They’re being sneaky quiet about it. Could drop a bombshell on us in a few hours. They could drop a [censored], right on our front porch. Hard to tell.

All I know is my brain is absolutely spent with all this speculation and unnecessary detective work. I’m napping till noon PT

Looking back on the stream, two things jump out.

    1. "If you have cards that you don't have a collection for, that's going to change on July 28th". Those cards are all XP path cards like POTM Sanchez, Mondesi, FS Reyes, Ramirez, Springer etc

    2. "It's going to be a NEW GUY everyone will want in their lineup"

That to me sounds like you better be High Diamond or Prestige in XP path and New Legend incoming.

its randy johhnson i hope. he will be in your lineup, he will be in your head, in your nightmares and you will be chasing that slider in your sleep.

over and over you will dream of fastballs coming right down the pipe than just as you go to swing it will disappear, you will be jolted awake and this will occur night after night, day after day...

at least that's what I'm hoping for

I haven't read through all this so apologies if these are popular opinions. My only two thoughts are:

    No way it's a pitcher

Anyone thinking "chase" means anything other than just the act of obtaining this card is crazy.
