Prospects and FS price last night

Usually after playing I sit there for 20 mins or so and just look at the cards.
I noticed prospects that are usually 5k were around 10k So I was smart enough to sell 3 off
95 Madrigal was up at 28k! I knew in my heart I should sell him because he normally sits around 12-15k. But I didn’t thinking I can do it today. Well he’s all the way back down to 13k.
I’m guessing its the impending collection that made there price jump. But why only for one night like that?
Also notice high gold have shot up. Is this people investing?
This is my first full year off DD. Just trying to get a better understanding of the market -
I think it jumped because peope panicked when SDS changed the logos of a few collections like prospect, so people scrambled to make sure they were ready for prospects or FS just in case.
And now with the fear of flash sales having guaranteed headliners tomorrow, they are falling again.
Yeah, people are overreacting on one game samples with some golds they think may go up, I think it's just the excitement of baseball

Sixto Sanchez went from 10k to 5k today in a few hours. Crazy.
Same with Stanton but he shot upwards right under 5k. -
If they are not included in the flash sale on Saturday afternoon I expect that they rise a bit. I think the next flash sale will be another DOTP Elite pack, a Headliners pack, and I have no clue what the third pack will be. My guess will be crazy, guaranteed high diamond pack.

I had prospect Brendan McKay and sold him for 10k. Just 3 days ago. Yesterday he was going for almost 30k. He’s since dropped back to 12k. You win some you lose some
