I went from a newer 4k Tv to an old LG HD tv and my lag is horrible. I have to swing extra early. Any advice how to fix it?

only thing that will help you is to get that 4k tv back or buy a monitor

Does that TV have a game mode?

Why would you go backwards in quality? Unless it was a forced choice and now you are in a rough place. Either way look for game mode but if its an older tv its just too slow for the game. The response time and input time from what the techy types say.
