I was just wondering because if you did you may need it for this one which would mean I probably would not try and get it.

Right now I have none of them done but have like 450k so I could do and few teams but obviously not all of them so I don’t think right now for me it’s worth doing. Thanks for advice though

It is definitely worth doing as they get you a lot of the core cards like postseason all star breakout and so on. I am hoping that the numbers are not as high for the collections as there are not as many of those core collection cards in the game with the new way they do TA. It also may take long as they may release the sigs at the end of the year for the TA of each team or Awards cards as both of those do not have as many cards in the collections currently.

I don't think it's worth it to do LS if your just a casual player. I feel like those huge collections are more for people that play a lot. I play maybe 6 hours a week, and unless I spent money... it would take me all year to collect every LS player. It's not that big of a deal if your just playing for someone for fun and not collecting... I beat the all 99 stacked lineups in RS more often than not and I have 2 99s on my whole team. A lot of times people say it's worth it, but don't realize most people don't play 20 hours a week to do it.

Dont look at it as if you're going for who will end up being the 'Chase' card.

Look at it as if you want Biggio, Sheffield, and Mantle.

On a side note; I have most of the other Collections completed (AS, IV, BO, etc) and stopped collecting players after I completed them.

if they add other 'layers' to these; I probably wont be going after whomever they release.

The short answer to your question is no, you didn't have to collect all the LS cards to get Honus last year. The long answer is: it certainly helped if you did. As part of the Honus collection you were required to collect 40 Sig Series cards. So getting the 3 SS cards that came from the LS collection was beneficial. But there were so many SS cards last year that you could easily get 40 of them even without the LS collection. Having said all that... who knows what you'll need this year lol

You didn’t need them. If your main goal is to get that collection card over anything else, my suggestion would be to do any of the really cheap LS collections now (10K or less for the teams collection) for anything else, chances are you can buy multiple flashbacks/legends for the same amount it would cost you to finish a teams collection, even with inflated prices.

I’m pretty sure that to get Honus day 1 last year, you effectively needed to have LS and all the team affinity done. Obviously, as time went on there were more options for each collection.

I wonder if some of the specialty sets won't be involved in the collection
Player League, HRD cards (which may count as AS similar to last year), Prospect cards may include the 30 earned thru Affinity, but the Player league cards specifically seems a little too exclusive and I'm not sure if it was a planned set coming into the season.

There were some collections with limited cards available, people are technically right that you didn’t neeeed to complete the LS, but it was very difficult if you didn’t because the other option was finding the non-LS reward options to fill in the blanks, and most of those card prices were completely jacked up due to that being the situation.

Last year all sets were pretty easy except Sig Series was still rather limited and still expensive and AS cards were limited as well. I thought the Honus collection came out earlier last year, I know I hadn’t finished Live Series prior to it’s release unlike this year.

If you don't have team collections done by now you are playing DD wrong.

No offense Bro, but getting the LS collection done is pretty simple! I got it done in way fewer hours then you have played, a couple months ago. Just got to be smart in utilizing all the stubs you get, TA rewards, and never buying packs. Considering how cheap LS are now, kinda a no brained considering you will get enough stubs back to break even for a lot of teams.

I get it, but for me with limited time to play, I like the H2H modes. I don't really enjoy collecting as much. With TA a couple weeks ago, it's been easy to build a decent team fast and just play h2h. I dont really see how getting every LS player is profitable, but I dont collect so I guess I just dont know what is the rewards for the team collections and up from that.

That’s fair! I probably get more enjoyment out of the collecting aspect, and strategy of it, than H2H. Guess that’s one thing that makes this game good, people can enjoy different things. Cheers!
