Not to be rude but the post is asinine dude. You’re implying that other players are cheating just because they’re winning games. Maybe they have that banner because they’re.. idk... good at the game. Just take your L’s and move on. This post sucks

they know how to do something to manipulate the game that gives them the advantage in key spots

I agree with the original poster.

Last night I was playing a so called "World Series banner" player in the event.
I threw a change up with AJ Burnett and missed my spot.
The result was a hung Change up and the "World Series" player had the unmitigated gall to absolutely obliterate my hanger!!!!!

I hung it and he knew exactly what to do.

    MANIPULATION!!!!!

Ok you all can keep riding on your high horses -- I don't need help and really appreciate all the insults from our finest and classiest members on here. Keep inflating your own egos.

I am fine with losing unlike so many on here that do anything to try to win -- including using exploits and glitches -- so don't tell me I can't accept losses.

I don't think it's ridiculous to question how perfect pitching input results in every pitch missing the strike zone only against these players with ridiculous errors happening immediately after against these guys when it rarely happens versus others. And I never said they weren't good at the game... but apparently I've offended so many people by making an observation. Sheesh.

You can cite pitching input as an issue and no one would have a problem because that’s valid. But for you to accuse multiple players of cheating in different games just because the game did you wrong warranted all these responses. We’re all playing the same game

Now seriously, I am an average player. I know that a pitcher like AJ Burnett will miss the target even with perfect timing, but Orel Hershisher will usually hit the mark.
You need to understand why...They have vastly diffrent control ratings (87 for Orel and 77 for AJ)

In essesnce Orel can throw it where he wants most of the time and AJ hopes to hit the target, hence the phrase effectively wild. The game is not out to get you, yes sometimes you get the RNG wildness at the worst time.
But the reason why you notice it is that the World Series player will obliterate that bad pitch 90% of the time, but regular guys will kill it at a much, much lower rate (maybe 40% from my expierence)

The reason your pitches get launched in orbit is that a WS player is elite and in a skill based game that skill will play out on the field.

To have any proof errors happen more against WS players you should start by going back and looking at all your game logs see how many errors you have committed of the course of the year. Facts not what you assume or think.

@rsetzer13 said in I'm Convinced WS Players Know How To Cheat:

Multiple event games this morning vs WS players and in each one late in the game, my pitchers with good control all of a sudden can't throw any strikes with perfect input and errors on routine double plays start happening, turning close games into defeats. It seems as if they know how to do something to manipulate the game that gives them the advantage in key spots when they are in trouble. I heard something earlier this year about how some people knew how to force an automatic walk and I think this is still being done. This happens multiple times a day to me, so it can't be coincidence. Combine that with fielders conveniently making errors after that and it seems very fishy. Also only seems to happen against guys with WS banners. Anyone else experiencing this regularly?

It's not so much "gitgud" as the OP does not understand how much a pitcher's control rating effects the location of pitches. You can be perfect 100% of the time with a pitcher that has low control, ala AJ Burnett, and sometimes that perfectly placed dot on the outside corner turns into a meatball that gets obliterated by a WS level player. It happend to me yesterday with Burnett. Perfectly timed sinker low and away, AJ's control caused it to drift into the middle of the plate. PLAKATA!!! HR. Nothing that could be done. That is baseball.

WS guys punish mistakes at a much higher rate than other players.

I hear you dude! But I have 0 suggestions other than take the loss an move on. I've whined and b1tched on here and nothing really seems to be broken. Some people can just play the game better than others and can see mistakes better than most. Those hangers are just pitches from an exhausted pitcher (regardless of their stamina). Even if you try to throw the ball into the dirt outside, they seem to always find their way back inside and over the plate. Same goes for the routine double play ball that gets thrown away...when it happens, just quit and go to the next. The other guy is going win! Just take it and move on bro...there is no help or answers in here, just experts that love us whiners. The other conspiracy? They follow you after they beat you and they stalk you making sure you never win. When that mind set kicks in, just go to a different game.

If by cheating you mean practicing, learning your pitching routines and just being plain good at the game then yes, they are cheating.
