Contact Hitting?

While playing others online I find that almost every shot I have go right to an infielder or pop to an outfielder. But when they bat it seems to split my defenders or goes where my outfielders aren't. Are they using contact hitting? does the circle button do anything in online play?

I doubt it. It’s just the RNG in the game.

I use circle with some hitters in certain situations where I am behind in the count to defend the plate.

I use circle all the time, depending on the situation. Have hit bombs with contact.
