Chipper at SS?

Has anybody tried using prestige Chipper at SS? How bad of a drop in defense is it?
I just moved my CAP from SS to C - Tried Banks, he's pretty good, but he's going for way too much right now.. Going to try Yount, and need someone at SS. 3B i'm using Brett, and 1B using Ortiz with Cano rounding up the infield..

All star difficulty: I use him primarily in LF where he isn't a liability. I had a lot of issues with him at 3B and SS, but that's not the same for everyone obviously. I love Hanley at SS but he is limited on D as well. I just put FOTF Young at SS to test out. Good luck on your search

How's young?
I wish I could provide you some feedback on Young but haven't used him much yet as I've been focused on the event. I loved his gold card online, he was a doubles machine, so hopefully that translates.

Chipper at short will have a bronze shield, prestiged or not. I use him at 3rd, never tried him at short but he makes errors at 3rd, so I'd imagine short would not be good.

He's cost me a couple runs but I still do it sometimes since I hit well with him. It's been a constant struggle on whether to use Banks or Chipper there.

In past years, diamond fielding was a requirement for my short stop, no matter what. I worked so hard at prestiging Chipper that I’m like whatever, gonna try him at short. And honestly, it seems fine so far

I'm currently only in the 500's for RS (been a rough season) played someone with a WS banner... it was 3-1 before i got D/C and lost, but he had Chipper at SS, probably hit 5 grounders to him, and he made every play no problem..
