MUST BE NICE WHEN YOUR GOLD FIELDERS CAN ACTUALLY FIELD!!!!
-
I build my team so I have minimal errors, with the lowest fielding on my team being Cespedes in LF(excluding first cause it doesn't make that much of a difference, but Fred McGriff still has silver fielding)and Cespedes has 75 fielding. Gave up 10 runs in an inning because gold fielding Pablo Sandoval and Gold fielding Carlos Correa both made easy double plays errors. (Both at their original positions of third and short) I GAVE UP 6 UNEARNED RUNS THAT INNING BECAUSE THEY CAN'T FIELD!!?? And you all know how momentum is the most important thing in this game and it's hard to stop a total meltdown. I had to get 7 outs in one inning. If they could play up to their gold fielding, I GOT 7 OUTS in one inning!! But, no screwing up easy double plays is a common thing for above average fielders huh?? DID I MENTION I LOST THE GAME 11-9 If we made even one of them, I would've won the game, but no, give him 6 UNEARNED RUNS because APPARENTLY GOLD FIELDING ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH!!

Maybe you should try diamond fielding.

Maybe you should try diamond fielding.
Except that when you have diamond fielding, you sacrifice hitting stats. Gold fielding is above average in fielding anyways, and shouldn't result in two easy double plays being screwed up in the same inning.
-
Bobbles will happen even with diamond defense. You just got very unlucky. The likelihood of that happening again in the same inning are very low.
The thing that bothers me on double plays are sometimes you get very long animations that make a routine double play be a fielders choice instead.
But yet I’ve never seen the CPU get super long animations on double plays, even with common fielders.

I didn't even get a fielder's choice out of either of them, they just missed the ball. I'm not the person to agree that this game is predetermined, but those plays seemed to have happened to ensure that I didn't have a chance of getting an out.

Here’s my all diamond fielding team. I don’t think I’ve sacrificed much hitting.
RF Gwynn
2B Biggio
CF Mantle
1B Belli
3B Schmidt
LF Walker
C Posey

SS CAPAh yes, let me spend hundreds of thousands of stubs first to earn Biggio and Mantle, play hundreds of hours to prestige them, and get all the way to prestige to get Buster with diamond fielding. You may not think you aren't sacrificing any hitting, but Gwynn has no power, Bellinger has terrible vision and Schmidt and Walker's stances are both horrid.

Vision doesn’t matter this year. And you are the first person I’ve heard say Walker has a bad stance. Might just take some getting used to.

And you're the first person I have heard say that vision doesn't matter this year lmao. Vision controls the PCI size. On Hall of Fame PCI matters A LOT.

I don’t know, I’ve had diamond fielders outright not react to a ball. Hell the worst thing I seen was my Diamond Fielding Cap botch a routine grounder to end the game on a walk off error.

this year the contact rating defines PCI size
-
For someone that’s using Cespedes, I’d expect you to realize that contact determines your inner PCI size and not vision.

PCI does matter a lot on HOF, but the inner PCI is controlled by contact ratings. If you want to foul off and pop up balls because that extra vision helped with the outer ring of PCI? Be my guest. The part of the PCI that matters is controlled by contact, so Bellinger is fine to use HOF+
