Need stubs tips to finish getting mantle
-
Today I said F it and sold some people and completed the AL for biggio. I now have around zero stubs, but if I sell Walker and Rivera, along with Orel and McGee, I’ll have about 300k. At that point I’ll need 250k ish more stubs. I can complete some team affinity’s to get about 100k, but after that I don’t know what to do. Any tips?

My tip would be to think about if that is even worth it. Walker, Rivera, and Orel are arguably the best at their positions right now and McGee is a solid LH reliever which are hard to find.
Walker is better than Sheffield so really it’s like selling all those players and scrounging up ANOTHER 250k for Mantle.
Mantles the best player in the game, but I wouldn’t bother. We’re just going to keep getting more amazing cards from here on out. Would suck to lock that much in for a player that’s been out since launch.
Stick with what you have and maybe you’ll get a lucky pull soon to be able to finish without having to sell high tier cards.

I had to do a lot of flipping to finish the collection. If you can spend some time flipping cards on a daily basis you aren't that far from getting it done.

That’s true. The only thing though is that I needed the catcher and mantle is mantle, so Sheffield is just kind of a replacement to Walker for the mean time. And also through team affinities I can make stubs back to rebuy the people I need to. Walker will end up being replaced, while biggio and Mantle won’t. Rivera might suck but I already have a pretty good bullpen. Plus, I’m finally able to make World Series, so that’s a good chunk of stubs I can get every few weeks, and with Rollins coming out along with probably Paxton, I have two probably endgame players. The other positions can be decent if I’m that stacked in other areas

I finished off the 5th inning today and took Walker, sold him for 86K. After that I added up all my potential stubs in my investments and if, a big if, I would cash out and have roughly around 565K, which allows me to finish the NL no problem. The hard part is do I wait on some of these invested cards to increase in value or sell now and take the stubs and see what comes next.
