FreeSync Question
-
Should I enable FreeSync? Does it cause any additional input lag? I know it is supposed to help with smoothing out the fps, but not sure if it has any negative impact in online h2h, or any benefit for that matter.
Maybe this is more of a PS5 question, due to the limitations of current gen frame rate... Speaking of which, is next year's Show version going to take advantage of the PS5's 120hz or are we going to be stuck with 30-60fps? I just want to be able to see a pitch without getting a migraine. -
You want to leave FreeSync off, the PS4 and PS4 Pro do not support it.
The PS5 most likely will. Whether SDS will use all of the potential the PS5 brings remains to be seen, time will tell.

Do you happen to know if freesync is left on if it will negatively impact the game? I’ve had on on for 2 years on my monitor with a PS4 pro

I haven't done any scientific research but my educated guess would be that by leaving it on your monitor has to process more without having any upside, which it normally would have when FreeSync is supported. You want your monitor to do as little "work" as possible, so if there's nothing to gain I would turn it off.

I’ll turn it off and report back to see if it has any benefits. Maybe this will help someone people...

I'm using an LG monitor. I can't figure out how to enable 1ms motion blur reduction. Is that also not supported?

Dude me too. What’s the model# of the one you have? I wonder if we have the same. It’s a gaming monitor! It should but it’s “greyed out”
