SDS can fix the dashboarders if they wanted.

Program script has the announcers making the no doubt HR calls as the ball leaves the bat. Thus both client sides are aware of the HR and subsequent runs.
Start making them count already.
Also, give people the maximum loss of ranking points in ranked and give the winner the maximum. Discourage it please.
A win is a win. That's fine. I'd like to stop seeing people take away precious runs, XBH and RBI lost on my FOTF Michael Young etc.

Or they could have used their brains and made the prestige grinds offline too.
-
Agreed, don't make prestige stats an online only thing. Prestige has ruined events this year. People have lost their minds. +3 to everything is not a game changing upgrade, but obtaining that red has become an addiction for most of the community.

Yep they have to make it so dashboarding doesn’t even matter. Last year if someone dashboarded it didn’t mean much at all unless you were trying to do a daily.
-
If they make the stats count the second the ball makes contact... I can go back to enjoying making people rage quit.

Just talking this through:
Both client sides are aware, but the results of every pitch/play aren't actively registered or submitted to SDS until after the play is fully completed (or more specifically, when the game is over), which is the issue.
They'd either need to move games to being server hosted as opposed to p2p, or simply register a homer at contact (as you're suggesting) rather than once the play is completed.
My suspicion: due to the infrastructure and hierarchy of their coding, in order to register home runs on contact, all batted balls would need to register on contact. Which would mean there are no bad hop triples. It would also bring the interesting question of how sac flies are handled, since at contact it would be a fly out. Letting the play complete before registering events allows these types of things to happen.
To be clear, I don't disagree with you. I'm just talking through the possible explanations of why and theorizing.

I agree with you that it's an issue getting the stats when someone dashboards, I'm sure that's not possible but why if someone dashboards during a play does it not let the play run out. I dont see how that would be an issue. If you have bases loaded let's say and a guy hits one down the line that is even a single and the guy dashboards, the play should run until completion. If the ball is sitting there and you round the bases, too bad, the game should not punish the player who didnt quit.
