I did one Lefty Grove moment and was done

It was pretty easy. Had it done in a bit over an hour.

do the three short ones (IBB the first guy every inning to get to the stretch), then beat the A's and then get 9 innings with A's Pitchers (Start Manea) and get 10 K's in RS and you're done without having to do the long stupid moments.
I have never played ranked seasons. I dont want to start a needless thread, so maybe you can indulge me. It sounds like you use it as a vehicle to get some of these points, and I am sure TA and Program points.
What is the deal with ranked seasons? 9 inning games? does it cost Stubs? Is it just a whale fest where sharks just feast on people? Good rewards? etc...
I am about through all the conquest maps and grinding player programs and TA is a bit tedious. Was going to look into Events (played 1 game and won in moonshot), Ranked Season, and Battle Royale.

Yes.
No.
If you haven't played RS yet, then you'll be going against newbies like yourself to start out with and play tougher competition the more you progress.
The rewards don't get "good" per-say until Pennant Race but you'll finish the program requirements long before then. -
thanks, saveferris. I like the idea of gradual-match-ups... even though my one Event match was against a really good player and I fluked my way to a 2-0 victory, ha.
-
Lefty Grove was significantly easier to unlock than any of the Jackie Robinsons. And Lefty was one of my best pitchers last year, so I am eagerly awaiting phase 2 of this player program.
Between FotF Catfish, AS Doolittle, and Eckersley, you could get the 9 innings of A’s pitchers done in one game without being at too much of a disadvantage. You don’t have to do either of the 9-inning moments to finish the program.

Yea. what he says. RS is a total $hit show but he's right, you'll start off against other folks with low ratings. It'll take at least 2 games for the innings, just don't take Manea out for the entire 9 and then start him with low energy for one inning and you'll get the innings then bring in another starter since you can do that now if you need someone else to get the K's.
-
I did it last night, I did all the online missions, beat the A's on AS. and did the exchanges. only had to do the 3 inning moments did them all first try.

cool. I have Doolittle too

I did 4 of the missions (the easier and quick ones, took no time at all), exchange, 10k in RS (got in 1 game with Leiter), and beat the A's on Allstar..
Easy program -

Pretty sure it's Starter innings but i could be wrong

The. Stoke out 4 batter in 2 inning moments KILLED ME. I struck out the side in the first inning 3 times and couldn’t get the last K everytime.. I did it about 20 times before getting it. They should be on rookie. They are do able but should be on rookie

Aha, got ya. Ill make sure I look at that.
Im not even really particularly interested in this one. Its grinding out everything from TA to Featured Programs. Havent really touched any of the online missions yet. -
I have 2 of these done. Striking out such a high % of batters over 3-5-9 innings is annoying and tough.
I think I would rather do pitching moments over a lot of the hitting ones with multiple XBH, multiple HRs, etc.

Yep Paul it’s just you. Better stick that pin on your azz. Those moments were pretty easy for 20 stars
great to hear can't wait to do this then
-
I was very thankful to get most of my points from the online play. His windup is so awful...I intentionally walked people to get to the stretch on the couple of moments that I had to do.

Ya, I really wish they'd allow us to pitch these old-timers from the stretch to make them more useable..
I could eat a sandwich between pitches..
Warren Spahn is the worst...

My 15 year-old soon asked about him...and I said it was as bad as Warren Spahn. (Which, I int walked people to get through his moments last year.)
My son responded with...whelp...I am out on that! He hated Spahn's windup. -
Twice now I’ve made it through 8 2/3 innings just for a bloop single in the bottom of the ninth to score a run and lose the mission. [censored] this Program and the SDS programmers who developed it. Absolute garbage to waste somebody’s time that like. 19 K’s and 4 hits just for that [censored]. [censored] that.
-
He was the easiest player to get through the programs, did it in under an hour.. he pitches just like Hal
-
guys i just wanted to post and say that i was in that moment where you have to do a 9 inning perfect game
i swear on me life - it was bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, 2-2 count, and the dude hits a 3 run HR off me to lose the moment
i wound up finishing it again properly but holy FAK that made me want to crush my plums
