All 99s of course
Awards MVP Harper
Sig Mays
Prime Frank ThomasIt's clear they wont be featuring players in the inning programs who where bosses last year.

5th inning had 3 guys that retired very recently so I’d like to see some current day players get some boss cards. This does not mean future stars lol cuz we know how that’s gonna turn out.
That's an interesting thought. I don't think we'll get a 99 Trout yet, but Kershaw/Verlander and Pujols are definitely feasible. I wonder who else they would put in though. I don't see a currently active outfielder getting a 99 boss card (Maybe MVP harper? But he was only a 95 in the last 2 games) and as closers go Jansen and Kimbrel had 99s in the game last year but I doubt they will get cards rated that high this year.
I think they will go the other way and go for some really old legends. Something like Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig & Walter Johnson
Dear god that’d be a fat L
Why? Johnson isn't great (I would have said Lefty Grove but he just came into the game this week) but Cobb and Gehrig are great cards
-
Keep in mind they likely will not repeat inning bosses from last year. So Andrew Jones, Goose Gossage, Cy Young, Miggy, Bumgarner, Alomar, Rickey, Verlander, Ripken, Billy Wagner, Gehrig, Donaldson, Gibson, Griffey, Piazza, Seaver, Ted Williams, Bench, Pujols, And Trout are extremely unlikely to be inning bosses
-
Frank Thomas was a glaring omission from HRD packs so I have to feel he is on the schedule for something very soon.
Mark Buerhle is one of the few new legends without a diamond card yet, too. Not that they’d do 2 White Sox legends in one inning, but he would be cool.
-
At some point the best players of all time need to start coming out. Mays, Gehrig, Cobb, Ruth, Teddy Ballgame, Bob Gibson, Maddux, Seaver, Pujols, Berra, Musial, etc.
-
Harper and Thomas are really good guesses. Those were 2 players I was expecting to see in the HRD packs.

I don’t think Buehrle would be an inning boss, just because he would be the least enticing choice of all time. I liked him in real life and he was very solid but he would be atrocious in this game lol. He seems like an 8th or 9th inning player program
-
When does 6th inning come out? Has to be soon right?
-
All I want from anywhere (DOTP, World Series, Boss) Is a juiced 99 Harper.

I believe when I checked yesterday around 18 days left?

Joe Morgan, Greg Maddux, and a Flashback OF.

Sounds about right. He would have fit in well with the caliber of bosses in the 1st and 2nd innings. Maybe he’ll get a “henchman” diamond at some point?
I know I’m biased, but I think Buehrle should get at least some HoF consideration next year. I’m sure he won’t get nearly enough traction to ever get in, but he had an outstanding career — 60 WAR, 214 wins, perfect game, a no hitter, and a WS ring. Plus he was just a cool dude.

I actually do think Buehrle might get enough votes to stay on the ballot for a few years. Next years ballot doesn’t have anyone new that is going to get elected. I don’t actually think anyone gets elected at all next year because the ballot is mostly steroid guys and POS schilling. Maybe Rolen, Kent, or Wagner have a huge spike in votes but I doubt it

I think this is the best chance for POS Schilling to get in, and he does. He's that close already. I mean you can't hold a guy out because he's a moron off the field and in retirement. Schilling as a pitcher is an undeniable HOFer.
Rolen deserves to be. He's a top 10 all time 3B... 8-10 range.
Wagner is borderline.. so dominant and underrated.
That's it.

I agree, and Shilling deserves to be there, but the writers already hate the guy and is the reason he isn’t in there already. He has said even more questionable political comments about Covid and such so that doesn’t exactly help his cause. Rolen was great, but I’m just not sure if he gets in or not, maybe in his last ballot like Walker. Wagner is a puzzling one. He is better than Trevor Hoffman in almost every statistical category except for saves in 200 less IP. I don’t know why he doesn’t get the recognition
-
I’m thinking in some way we need to see mays soon- possibly as the big collection like honus.
Phillies fan here- Idk if they gave Jimmy Rollins just an intro card for the game, but his headliner isn’t that good so he might be due soon for an MVP card?
Pujols only has the 87 so he’s probably incoming somewhere.
Considering they gave Gwynn a card like his sig last year, got to think alomar will get a card soon, probably headliner
Someone mentioned Frank Thomas, he doesn’t have a decent card like his sig yet.
I’m sure they’ve got good stuff incoming. Personally I’d like another decent starter. There is definitely a few, but maybe one that’s v good. Bought Mike Scott, who apparently is like number 2 statistically in the game, last night, and did pretty well with him. Wouldn’t mind a cool starter

Ya I hear you about Curt. He keeps hurting his case because he can't keep his mouth shut. I despise the guy because of his opinions as most do, but I just mean, on the field, watching his whole career from his time as a Phil shutting down my Jays' powerhouse offense in '93, to dominating in Arizona, to [censored] sock in Boston, his career as a pitcher was amazing. Incredible command of his fastball and splitter. Total bulldog and legendary stamina.
The thing with Rolen is he should, judging by who got in around him. Edgar got in and barely played defense. Santo and Molitor as well got in, and have similar metrics, whether it's skewed a bit more offensively.
Rolen was probably the 3rd or 4th best defender ever at 3B (Brooks, Beltre, Schmidt the others in there) and had a great bat to go with it.And I agree with Wagner. If Hoffman gets in, Wagner should. He was every bit more dominant, just didn't collect as many saves. He may be the greatest lefty reliever ever, and deserves enshrinement
