Lorenzen, Iglesias, and Garrett are more than serviceable in a short season. Garret and Lorenzen are much better than their show ratings might indicates. Especially since being able to play Catellanos or Dietrich at DH will help them defensively, they are the number 1 team to look out for IMO

You don’t need a top to bottom shutdown pen in a short season(like the yankees). Nats had a horrible pen last year and won all because of their starters. Castillo, Gray, Bauer, and Miley(if he continues what he did last year) are all above average arms to throw out there

I agree our pen could use improvements but honestly think we have a top 10 bullpen as is. Garrett was not wild last year, he's come into his own. We have those three, plus young guys like Robert Stephenson and Lucas Sims with big upside. Also we snagged Pedro Strop from the Cubs.

I was checking out the schedules the other day and it’s crazy to me that most playoff matchups will be teams that haven’t seen each other yet. Even the WS matchup will (mathematically) be a slim chance of two teams that have already played each other.

If Bauer is good their rotation will be set. That is true the Nats won with only Doolittle and Hudson

That lineup can do some work....but i'm not sold on that rotation. Bauer was pretty bad last year and Gray put together a respectable year after a couple brutal ones.
